Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jah Jah Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vitor Cruz could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jah Jah Marley's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vitor Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jah Jah Marley!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Cruz throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Marley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Marley is trying to work for a kimura but Cruz is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Marley manages to mount him!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cruz is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marley stands up from mount. Strange move.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cruz with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Marley fails to land the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jah Jah Marley will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Cruz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marley throws a right hand that Cruz ducks under and follows up with a left that Cruz also avoids with ease.
Marley is looking to clinch but Cruz is avoiding it.
Nice defenses there by Marley.
Marley throws a series of punches but Cruz moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cruz scores with a jab.
Marley moves out of range of the strikes.
Cruz plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Marley.
Cruz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marley blocks a head kick by Cruz.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cruz throws a sloppy head kick and Marley moves out of range easily.
Cruz tries a head kick but it misses.
Cruz looks for the body kick but Marley saw that one coming.
Cruz misses with a double jab

and Marley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Marley gets to his feet - Cruz follows without any prompting.
Cruz stuffs the takedown.
Cruz throws an overhand right that lands on Marley's shoulder, as Marley tries to avoid the shot.

Marley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Marley gets to his feet. Cruz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cruz plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Marley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marley shoots for a double leg takedown but Cruz sprawls well. He's pushed Marley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cruz looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cruz misses with a straight right.
Marley throws a series of punches but Cruz avoids them all with ease.
A slow jab from Cruz misses its intended target.
Marley checks a leg kick.

Marley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cruz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Marley has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jah Jah Marley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Cruz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Marley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Marley gets to his feet. Cruz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cruz throws a big shot that misses.
Marley moves out of range of the body kick.
Marley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cruz pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Marley looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Cruz!

Marley gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cruz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Marley scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Marley is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cruz.
Vitor Cruz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cruz misses with a head kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jah Jah Marley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Marley winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
