Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuo Takiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hokkaido Honsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takiyama comes to the cage accompanied by LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. The key to victory for Tetsuo Takiyama has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honsu moves in looking to clinch but Takiyama pushes him off.

Honsu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Takiyama to the mat! Takiyama manages to get full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Takiyama is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Honsu's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Honsu's back!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Takiyama shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Honsu's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Honsu can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Takiyama controls the pace.

Honsu has his foot on Takiyama's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Takiyama works his way back into a safe position though.
Honsu is trying to control the position but Takiyama postures up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Takiyama paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Hokkaido Honsu has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Takiyama fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Honsu looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
