Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Bolivar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vi Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alex Bolivar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vi Thai! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thai closes the distance and clinches. Bolivar jumps guard but Thai stands there with Bolivar around his waist. Bolivar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Thai looking to slow down the pace here. Thai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Thai keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bolivar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Bolivar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thai gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bolivar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bolivar. Thai lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Bolivar changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Thai fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bolivar gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bolivar tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bolivar tightens his grip and picks Thai up, before dumping him to the ground. Thai manages to land in guard. Bolivar looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thai is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bolivar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bolivar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Thai working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bolivar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bolivar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Thai escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bolivar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bolivar has gone for a leg lock! Thai slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bolivar's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Thai won't allow Bolivar to get back to his feet. Thai preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bolivar is breathing heavily. Thai trying to control the position from guard on top but Bolivar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bolivar tries to land a sweep but no joy. Thai got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bolivar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thai has managed to get both his arms back between Bolivar's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bolivar keeping moving, preventing Thai from controlling successfully. Bolivar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thai on the ground. Bolivar looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bolivar wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Thai is now in half guard. Thai wants to take a breather but Bolivar is having none of it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Thai fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Thai throws a combination that misses and Bolivar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bolivar shoots in and drives through. Thai sprawls well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Thai misses with a jab, cross combination.
Thai is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bolivar. Thai is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bolivar's half guard. Thai throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bolivar tries to kick Thai off but Thai keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Thai perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Bolivar tries to roll over but Thai keeps him under control. Thai is nestled in close to Bolivar, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vi Thai dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Thai misses the body punch and Bolivar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bolivar. Thai pulls Bolivar into guard.
Bolivar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bolivar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bolivar trying to control the position from guard on top but Thai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Thai is pulling down on Bolivar's head. It's preventing any offense from Bolivar, at least for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bolivar stops Thai from standing up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bolivar seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bolivar preventing the sweep. Bolivar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bolivar wants to stand but Thai has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Thai trying to control the position.
Bolivar wants to get up but he can't break Thai's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Thai trying to keep a closed guard but Bolivar is proving a slippery customer.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bolivar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Thai tries to lock up and control but Bolivar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bolivar misses with a head shot. Bolivar stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bolivar fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bolivar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thai paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice sprawl there from Bolivar as Thai shoots in. Thai tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bolivar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bolivar throws a sloppy head kick and Thai moves out of range easily. Thai misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bolivar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bolivar closes the distance and pushes Thai back into the cage. Thai ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Thai no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thai utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bolivar trying to control but Thai is working from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Thai is on top in guard.
Thai wants to control from the top but Bolivar keeps moving. Bolivar is pulling down on Thai's head. It's preventing any offense from Thai, at least for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Thai advances position into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bolivar's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Thai tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bolivar avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bolivar jumps guard but Thai stands there with Bolivar around his waist. Bolivar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bolivar walks away with a smile on his face. Thai gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Bolivar tries to clinch up but Thai circles away and keeps his distance. Thai wants to clinch and Bolivar counters by clinching up. Bolivar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Thai is defending well for now. Bolivar wants a takedown.

Thai closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bolivar circles away. Bolivar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Thai avoids it really well and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thai clinches but Bolivar breaks the clinch and Bolivar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bolivar. Thai jumps guard but Bolivar stands there with Thai around his waist. Thai gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Thai has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bolivar uses from the top position. Bolivar trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Thai manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Bolivar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thai won't allow Bolivar to get back to his feet. Bolivar looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Thai puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Thai seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bolivar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Thai tries to pass to full mount but Bolivar defends it. Thai takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Thai is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bolivar! Thai looking to finish with strikes here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Thai controlling the pace for now. Bolivar is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Thai looking to control but Bolivar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bolivar is looking to get to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Thai trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Vi Thai. I think Thai has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
