Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaroio scoring well with a low kick there.
Barnstone looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Zaroio tries to clinch but Barnstone is having none of it.

Zaroio could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Barnstone chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Zaroio can pounce on him.

Zaroio shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barnstone sprawls well. Barnstone wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zaroio gets slowly back to his feet.

Zaroio lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Zaroio connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Barnstone to escape the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Zaroio lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Zaroio looking to break Barnstone's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Barnstone remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Zaroio will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Tana Zaroio overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Zaroio lands a shot to the body.
Barnstone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zaroio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Zaroio throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Barnstone!

That's time! Zaroio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Zaroio fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Barnstone, pushing him back against the cage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zaroio is on top in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barnstone can do anything to dispel that myth.

Zaroio is looking to stand up but Barnstone won't let him.
Zaroio is pushing down on Barnstone's leg trying to pass to half guard. Barnstone is fighting to maintain full guard but Zaroio has managed to sneak the leg through.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zaroio is defended easily by Barnstone.
Barnstone displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Zaroio.
Zaroio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barnstone tries to avoid it but Zaroio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barnstone to the ground. Barnstone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tana Zaroio. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zaroio's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Zaroio duly obliges.
Zaroio forces Barnstone back against the cage and clinches.
Zaroio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zaroio tries to clinch up but Barnstone circles away and keeps his distance.

Zaroio drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Zaroio is looking to take a break and control but Barnstone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zaroio wants to finish this one by submission but Barnstone is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Zaroio.
Zaroio tries to control but Barnstone wriggling away.
