Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keith Star (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Wasson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Star might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stars. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Wasson misses the target.
Star tries to clinch but Wasson moves out of range.
Wasson looks to land a left hand but Star moved out of range nicely.
Star misses with an uppercut. Wasson saw that one coming.
Wasson throws a series of punches but Star avoids them all with ease.
Star shoots for a double leg takedown but Wasson sprawls well. He's pushed Star's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Star shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wasson as he avoids it easily.
Wasson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Star closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wasson circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keith Star. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wasson throws a hook but Star blocks it.

Star drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Wasson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Wasson forces Star back against the ropes and clinches.
Star tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wasson smiles and moves away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Star is defended easily by Wasson.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Star tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wasson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Star somewhat.
Tommy Wasson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Star closes the distance looking to clinch
and Wasson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Wasson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Wasson throws a nice looking combination but Star bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Wasson! Star is backing up but he can't get away as Wasson lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Star and ends the fight. Great knockout.
