Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kris Soomers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pratipar Rapcheep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pratipar Rapcheep!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Rapcheep.
Rapcheep wants to clinch up but Soomers keeps it at a distance.
Rapcheep avoids the body shot from Soomers.
Soomers takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Rapcheep pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rapcheep finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Soomers will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Soomers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rapcheep manages to avoid it.
Rapcheep dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rapcheep misses with a jab, cross combination.

Soomers shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Soomers throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Rapcheep is refusing to be controlled, as Soomers sits in half guard.
Soomers seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Soomers is looking to take a break and control but Rapcheep is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rapcheep wants to improve his position but Soomers is controlling well.
Soomers wants to free his trapped foot but Rapcheep is holding on for dear life with his legs.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rapcheep keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Soomers.
Rapcheep throws a sloppy head kick and Soomers moves out of range easily.
Rapcheep cracks the inside of Soomers's front leg.
Soomers lands with a nice body punch.
Soomers misses with a body shot
and Rapcheep counters with a nice low kick that buckles Soomers's knee momentarily.
Soomers is breathing heavily.
Rapcheep swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Soomers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Rapcheep jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Soomers digs a good body shot into Rapcheep's ribs.
Rapcheep looks to score with a jab to the body but Soomers is just out of range.

Rapcheep clinches up with Soomers and pushes him back against the cage.

Rapcheep escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rapcheep is looking to clinch but Soomers is avoiding it.
Rapcheep tries to close the distance and clinch up but Soomers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rapcheep. That's going to slow Soomers down.

Rapcheep throws a front kick that sends Soomers stumbling back into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rapcheep tries to clinch up but Soomers circles away and keeps his distance.
Rapcheep fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rapcheep moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Soomers is looking to wear down Rapcheep with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Soomers staying out of range there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rapcheep rushes Soomers with punches - Soomers moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Soomers goes down! Rapcheep follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
