Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryo Hyabusa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Davi Dos Jaques! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dos Jaques throws a right hand that Hyabusa ducks under and follows up with a left that Hyabusa also avoids with ease. Horrible takedown by Hyabusa or perhaps it was just good defense by Dos Jaques which made him look bad. A punch combination from Dos Jaques misses. Dos Jaques works over Hyabusa's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Ryo Hyabusa has been cut. Some wild striking there from Dos Jaques.
Hyabusa tries to clinch up. Dos Jaques throws a looping overhand right but Hyabusa ducks down to avoid it. Hyabusa looks for the body kick but Dos Jaques saw that one coming. Dos Jaques misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ryo Hyabusa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hyabusa throws a head kick but Dos Jaques moves out of range.

Dos Jaques closes the distance and clinches. Dos Jaques has Hyabusa pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hyabusa manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Hyabusa keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dos Jaques's efforts to push away. Hyabusa lands an elbow inside.

Hyabusa throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dos Jaques blocks it with crossed arms. Dos Jaques's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hyabusa avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hyabusa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dos Jaques sprawls well. Dos Jaques wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hyabusa gets slowly back to his feet. Hyabusa tries to clinch and Dos Jaques counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Hyabusa throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hyabusa throws a series of punches but Dos Jaques moves out of range. Hyabusa clinches but Dos Jaques breaks the clinch and Dos Jaques counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Dos Jaques swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hyabusa counters with a slapping leg kick. Hyabusa tries to clinch but Dos Jaques moves out of range. The fight moves into the clinch position. Hyabusa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hyabusa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hyabusa looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Davi Dos Jaques dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ryo Hyabusa's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Ryo Hyabusa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hyabusa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dos Jaques swivels and escapes. Hyabusa tries to clinch and Dos Jaques counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Hyabusa fails with the takedown. Hyabusa tries to clinch up and Dos Jaques counters with a left and a right that stings Hyabusa. Dos Jaques tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Dos Jaques shoots for a double leg takedown but Hyabusa sprawls well. He's pushed Dos Jaques's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hyabusa's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Dos Jaques wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hyabusa looking to throw knees to the head but Dos Jaques is blocking nicely.

Hyabusa tries to close the distance and clinch but Dos Jaques swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hyabusa drives through with a takedown into guard. Hyabusa controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dos Jaques wants to stand up but Hyabusa is controlling him. Hyabusa wants to control from the top but Dos Jaques keeps moving. Hyabusa content to stall in guard here. Hyabusa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dos Jaques is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ryo Hyabusa will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ryo Hyabusa's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Hyabusa tries to avoid it but Dos Jaques manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hyabusa to the ground. Hyabusa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dos Jaques defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hyabusa. Hyabusa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dos Jaques but Dos Jaques pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hyabusa throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Dos Jaques's head. Dos Jaques fails to land with a series of punches.

Hyabusa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dos Jaques is fending him off so far but Hyabusa persists. Nope, Dos Jaques circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dos Jaques misses with a body shot.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hyabusa misses with a takedown and Dos Jaques counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Hyabusa wants to clinch up but Dos Jaques keeps it at a distance.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryo Hyabusa showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hyabusa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
