Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Moar Dots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Moar Dots! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nicolas Santos! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dots did well to prevent Santos getting side control. Santos thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos is thwarting Dots's attempts to control the position. Dots controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Santos throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Santos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Santos takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Santos missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Santos sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dots defending well though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Santos tries to keep at a distance but Dots has taken the fight into the clinch. Santos keeps control of Dots as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Dots works his way back into a safe position though. Santos is trying to control the position but Dots postures up. Santos has his hands on Dots's head, controlling the position. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nice sprawl there from Dots as Santos shoots in. Santos looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dots lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Santos ducks right into an uppercut from Dots. Santos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dots napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dots tries to get back to half guard but can't. You can see the frustration on Dots's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Santos throwing strikes but Dots manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Dots decides to stand up, so the ref orders Santos to his feet. Dots tries to clinch up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dots tries to close the distance and clinch but Santos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A combination from Dots does no damage. Dots tries to clinch but Santos is having none of it. Dots scores with a one two! Santos had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Santos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Santos misses with a takedown attempt - Dots sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dots throws a right hand that Santos ducks under and follows up with a left that Santos also avoids with ease. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dots!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A shot to de liver by Dots. Beautiful body shot. Dots tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Santos swivels and escapes. Dots feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Santos's calf. Santos shoots and misses and Dots counters with a nice double leg into guard. Moar Dots has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicolas Santos. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dots trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dots wanted to stand there but Santos had control of the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Santos is trying to keep Dots in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dots would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Dots trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Santos wants to sweep here but Dots controlling him for the moment. Santos has Dots pulled in close to control his posture. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dots will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dots tries to clinch up but Santos circles away and keeps his distance. Santos misses with a takedown attempt and Dots counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dots. Dots pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Santos misses with a takedown and Dots counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Moar Dots has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicolas Santos.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dots wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santos keeps working. Santos is pressing down on Dots's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Dots wants to pass the guard but Santos is keeping the position. Santos is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Santos with the ground and pound but Dots uses the opportunity to regain guard. Santos throws and elbow that misses. Dots uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Santos's guard. Nice move by Dots! Dots drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Santos manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dots has Santos in his guard.

Santos works over Dots with some ground and pound from guard. Dots trying to control the position here. Santos working some strikes from top position. Santos postures up in Dots's guard and throws a big left but Dots blocks it. Santos missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Santos is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Dots looking to control.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dots wants to stand but Santos is controlling the position.

Moar Dots overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dots keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully. Santos thows a big elbow that misses. Santos lands a couple of digs.

Santos fails to land the takedown. Santos has his takedown stuffed and Dots counters with a stiff right hand. Santos with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Dots to counter with a crisp jab. Moar Dots has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicolas Santos. Santos doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dots counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Santos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Dots looking to control.
Santos missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Moar Dots is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Santos throws a strike but Dots rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Santos is adopting a defensive guard. Dots is looking to stand up but Santos won't let him.

And that's the end of the fight! Nicolas Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dots has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
