The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from The Bad Guy. The Bad Guy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rickenhausen circles away from the clinch attempt.
The Bad Guy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rickenhausen swats him away and circles back towards the center. A head kick misses from The Bad Guy. Ville The Bad Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rickenhausen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. The Bad Guy sprawls well initially but Rickenhausen persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Bad Guy looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rickenhausen perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Bad Guy wants to stand back up but Rickenhausen manages to pass into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The Bad Guy wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rickenhausen advances nicely into full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. The Bad Guy is trying to get back to his feet but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Von Rickenhausen dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The Bad Guy throws a sloppy head kick and Rickenhausen moves out of range easily. The Bad Guy tries a head kick but it misses.
The Bad Guy goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Rickenhausen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming The Bad Guy to the mat! The Bad Guy manages to get full guard. Rickenhausen stays in close to The Bad Guy's body and controls the position. The Bad Guy wants to stand and escape but Rickenhausen is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rickenhausen looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rickenhausen is standing up over The Bad Guy. The Bad Guy looks to escape but Rickenhausen dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rickenhausen works to advance to full mount. The Bad Guy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rickenhausen controlling from the full mount. You get the feeling that The Bad Guy really doesn't like being in this position too much.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Ville The Bad Guy will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
The Bad Guy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rickenhausen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for The Bad Guy! The Bad Guy is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Rickenhausen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Bad Guy squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rickenhausen content just to control the position here. Rickenhausen throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rickenhausen controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
And that's the end of the fight! Von Rickenhausen showed his dominance in that final round. I think Rickenhausen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
