Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Laraz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jang Jung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Laraz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jang Jung! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jung is looking to clinch but Laraz is avoiding it.
Jung fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jung is trying hard to land a takedown here. Laraz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jung tries to bum rush Laraz with a series of wild strikes but Laraz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Laraz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Laraz missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jung makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! No luck for Jung with that takedown attempt. Jung wants to clinch up but Laraz keeps it at a distance. Jung avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Laraz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Laraz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Laraz swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jung is now in Laraz's guard. A big mistake from Laraz there, giving up the dominant position! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Laraz working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jung.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jung throwing strikes from guard but Laraz blocks nicely. Jung looks gassed! Laraz has his foot on Jung's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jung works his way back into a safe position though. Jung wanted to stand there but Laraz had control of the position. Jung scoring with some ground and pound. Jung must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jung with a flurry of punches that miss. Laraz is adopting a defensive guard. Laraz looking for a sweep. Not yet Laraz, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Laraz wants to get back to his feet but Jung is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jung wants to stand and escape but instead Laraz has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Laraz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Laraz wants to control from the top but Jung keeps moving. Laraz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jung looks for a takedown but Laraz sprawls well. James Laraz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jang Jung.

Jung takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jung gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Laraz to score an easy takedown into full guard. Laraz throwing strikes but missing. Jung preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. That's four minutes gone in the round. Laraz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Laraz trying to control but Jung is working from the bottom. Laraz gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Laraz tries to clinch but Jung moves out of range. Jung tries to clinch but Laraz moves away so Laraz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Laraz looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Laraz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Laraz dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Laraz dives in and grabs Jung's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jung pushes down on Laraz's head and hops out. Laraz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jung. Jang Jung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jung doesn't succeed with the takedown and Laraz counters with a nice body shot. Jung avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Laraz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jung misses with a takedown and Laraz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Laraz. Jung really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Laraz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Laraz passes Jung's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Laraz trying to control from half guard but Jung is working away. Laraz drops an elbow to the side of Jung's head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jung has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Laraz is working away from the top position though. Laraz not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jung is trying to get back to full guard. Jung is trying is best to control the position here. Laraz looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Laraz is taking a breather. Jung says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Laraz prevents Jung from standing back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Laraz fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Laraz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jung shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Laraz counters with a takedown into side control. Jung is not content to let Laraz control the position. Jung is letting Laraz control him for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laraz throws a strike aimed at the side of Jung's head but Jung avoids it well. Laraz looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Jung is avoiding damage well.
Jung is trying to improve his position. Laraz throwing shots but missing, from side control. Laraz misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jung scores with a kick to the midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Laraz shoots for a takedown but Jung saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jung wants to clinch up but Laraz keeps it at a distance. Jung shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Laraz counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jung misses with a punch to the body.

Jung tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jung blocks an elbow strike. Laraz breaks from the clinch.
Jung misses with a looping right. James Laraz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jung dodges the punch combination from Laraz.
Jung moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Laraz dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Jung throws a right hand that Laraz ducks under and follows up with a left that Laraz also avoids with ease. Jung misses with a takedown attempt and Laraz counters with a one-two to the body. Laraz plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Laraz throws a head kick that Jung semi-blocks.
Laraz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jung misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Laraz throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Jung throws a lazy head kick and Laraz counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jung's guard now. Laraz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Laraz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Laraz preventing the sweep. Laraz trying to control but Jung is working from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Laraz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jung is keeping the position for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jung rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Laraz moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Laraz shoots in but no luck this time. Laraz shoots in and bounces Jung off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jung looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laraz wants to control from the top but Jung keeps moving. Laraz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Laraz stands up from guard. Let's bang! Laraz shoots for a takedown but Jung saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Laraz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jung circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jung changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laraz tries to avoid it but Jung manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laraz to the ground. Laraz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jung misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Laraz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jung was covering up waiting for the punch and Laraz finishes the takedown easily into guard. Laraz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jung working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Laraz. Laraz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jung keeping moving, preventing Laraz from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Laraz stops Jung from standing up. Laraz trying to control but Jung is working from the bottom. James Laraz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Laraz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jung's guard. Laraz prevents Jung from improving his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Laraz gets the takedown into side control. Laraz decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jung to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! James Laraz showed his dominance in that final round. Well Laraz has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
