Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ukkonen Vasara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Ekbladh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ekbladh has chosen My Heart Will Go On as his entrance music. David Ekbladh will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekbladh looks for a takedown but Vasara sprawls well.

Vasara throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ekbladh was covering up waiting for the punch and Vasara finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Vasara passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Vasara wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ekbladh keeps working.

Vasara is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ekbladh has escaped the position, nice work there.
Vasara trying to control the position but Ekbladh is working away.
Ekbladh is pushing Vasara's head away, looking to escape. Vasara manages to hold on to the position though.
Vasara has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Ekbladh!
Vasara fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Ekbladh is looking to improve his position but Vasara isn't that keen on the idea.
Vasara landing punches.
Vasara is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Ekbladh is trying to stand.

Vasara is working for a guillotine from mount but Ekbladh frees his head quite easily.
Vasara has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ekbladh's face.
Ekbladh is squirming around, avoiding Vasara's attempts to control the action.
Ekbladh wants to try and get back to his feet.
Ekbladh is working to get back to half guard.

Vasara is working for a guillotine from mount but Ekbladh frees his head quite easily.

Vasara jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ekbladh is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ekbladh and Vasara has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Vasara is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Ekbladh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vasara. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

You can see the frustration on Ekbladh's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Ekbladh tries to improve position but can't.

Ekbladh is letting Vasara control him for a moment.
Ekbladh is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Vasara is controlling him well.

Vasara is trying to get an arm triangle but Ekbladh is defending well.
Ekbladh tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vasara wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Ekbladh is trying to buck Vasara off.

Vasara has an Americana. Ekbladh didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Vasara is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Vasara hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
