Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between bruce Assman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Sofa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Sofa looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, bruce Assman!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Sofa!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sofa paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nice defenses there by Assman.
A punch combination from Sofa misses.
Sofa misses with a few strikes there.
Sofa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Assman to score with a decent uppercut.
Sofa fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Assman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Assman's corner calls for a 1-2. Assman obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
bruce Assman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sofa misses with a wild combination.
Jab, jab by Assman - just one landing.

Assman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Assman lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Assman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Assman pushing down on Sofa's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Sofa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Assman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Assman content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Assman is looking for a kimura here.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Assman trying to mount his opponent but Sofa defends it.
Assman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sofa is looking to escape.
Assman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Assman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sofa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Assman.
Assman stops Sofa from getting back to his feet.

Assman is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Assman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee stands the fighters back up. bruce Assman just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Assman scores with a three punch combo!
The crowd cheers as Assman lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sofa doesn't seem phased though.

The fighters circle momentarily. Assman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Assman lands a jab to the nose.

Assman lands with an uppercut that bounces Sofa off the cage and back into rage.
Assman connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sofa momentarily.
Sofa takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Sofa stuffs the takedown attempt from Assman. Assman gets slowly back to his feet.
A lazy left from Assman finds it's target.
Assman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sofa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sofa takes one to the chin there.
Sofa dodges the punch combination from Assman.
Jason Sofa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice uppercut there from Assman.
Assman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sofa's guard.
Assman slips nicely into half guard.
Assman trying to control the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sofa trying to control but Assman postures up.
Assman controlling the action here.
Assman is looking for a kimura but Sofa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Assman to get the leverage.
Sofa wants to control but Assman is keeping busy.
Sofa wants to get back to full guard.
Assman frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Assman wants to finish this one by submission but Sofa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Assman.
Assman avoids the attempt from Sofa to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sofa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Assman.
Assman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Assman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Assman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Assman throws a good cross that connects.
Assman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sofa on the side of the head.
Assman tests Sofa's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sofa darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Assman scores with the left hand. Sofa knows he should have avoided that one.
Sofa walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Jason Sofa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Assman connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sofa's hands.
Assman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Assman works his foot free and advances to mount.
Assman prevents Sofa from getting the reversal.
Assman content just to control the position here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Assman looking to isolate an arm here. Sofa doesn't see it coming and as Assman extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Assman!
