The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Burton.
silva gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
silva wants to work for an arm triangle but Burton is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. silva lands a nice short elbow.
silva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Burton is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because silva is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

silva has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Burton is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. silva yanks on the arm and Burton is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by silva.
