The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Modelo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Modelo throwing strikes but missing.
Modelo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Modelo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khan on the ground.

Modelo lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Modelo postures up in Khan's guard and throws a big left but Khan blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Modelo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Modelo is looking to work some ground and pound but Khan has wrist control.

Modelo cracks Khan with a solid left hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Modelo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Khan is looking for a triangle but Modelo pushes his legs off easily.
Khan has his feet on Modelo's thighs here. He's pushed Modelo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Modelo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
