Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joey Fagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mc Scrappy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joey Fagan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scrappy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Scrappy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fagan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Scrappy trying to control but Fagan is working from the bottom. Fagan pulls Scrappy in close to prevent any damage. Fagan wants to sweep here but Scrappy controlling him for the moment. Scrappy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fagan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Scrappy's guard. Scrappy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Fagan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Fagan looking to pass the guard. Fagan wants to control from the top but Scrappy keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fagan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Scrappy is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Fagan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fagan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Scrappy on the ground. Fagan postures up in Scrappy's guard and throws a big left but Scrappy blocks it. Scrappy keeping moving, preventing Fagan from controlling successfully. Scrappy should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Fagan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Scrappy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fagan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Fagan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Scrappy wants to sweep but no luck. Scrappy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fagan tries to stand but Scrappy is controlling from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Scrappy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Scrappy looks gassed!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Scrappy has his takedown stuffed and Fagan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fagan. Scrappy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fagan stays in close to Scrappy's body and controls the position. Fagan trying to control the position from guard on top but Scrappy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Scrappy fails with the takedown and Fagan counters with a stiff right hand. Joey Fagan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mc Scrappy. Fagan moves into range and clinches up with Scrappy. Scrappy takes a knee to the side of the body. Fagan leaning his opponent against the cage. Fagan drags the fight down to the ground.

Fagan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Scrappy is controlling him. Fagan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Scrappy wants to control from the top but Fagan keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fagan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Scrappy! Fagan get's back to his feet. Fagan throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Fagan moves into the clinch successfully.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Fagan. Scrappy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fagan smiles and moves away.
Fagan takes the fight into the clinch. Fagan holding his opponent close, against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scrappy with a poor takedown and Fagan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Scrappy's guard. Scrappy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fagan manages to get himself to full guard.

Scrappy is looking to regain half guard here but Fagan keeps moving and retains side control. Fagan taking a breather here. Fagan lands with a slapping head kick. Scrappy tries for a takedown but Fagan circles away easily and Fagan counters by clinching up. Scrappy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fagan walks away with a smile on his face. Scrappy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scrappy shoots and misses and Fagan counters with a takedown into side control. Fagan in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Fagan throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Fagan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. You can see the frustration on Scrappy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Fagan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scrappy can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fagan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Scrappy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Scrappy wants to improve his position but Fagan is controlling well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Fagan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fagan prevents Scrappy from improving his position. Fagan lands strikes from half guard. Fagan performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Fagan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Scrappy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fagan. Scrappy gets back to full guard.

That could spell trouble for Fagan! Fagan reaches up to try and control the position but Scrappy seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Fagan rolls and tries to escape and now Scrappy has his back!

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Scrappy working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Scrappy looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Fagan is controlling Scrappy 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard. Fagan tries to free his leg and advance position but Scrappy is retaining full guard. Scrappy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fagan manages to get himself to full guard.
