Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blaine Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teej King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blaine Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Teej King!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
King blocks the body kick.
King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.

King fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jackson sprawls well initially but King persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
King trying to control the pace.
Jackson scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but King manages to mount him!
King controlling the position easily from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
I looks like King might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Jackson is trying to stand but he's just given King his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jackson controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
What can Jackson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

King just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Well, with King on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Jackson is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Despite being in the dominant position, Teej King just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jackson doesn't succeed with the takedown

and King counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by King.
Jackson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as King controls the pace.

King is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jackson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

King is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jackson is looking to improve his position but King isn't that keen on the idea.
King won't let Jackson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Jackson clinches but King breaks the clinch

and King counters with a single leg into guard. Jackson didn't expect that.

Jackson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but King puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

King drops an elbow to the side of Jackson's head.

King stands up and beckons Jackson to join him on the feet.
Jackson clinches but King breaks the clinch
and King connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jackson is looking to clinch but King is avoiding it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
King tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jackson swivels and escapes.
Jackson doesn't manage to clinch there - King circles away.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jackson closes the distance but King moves to the side

so King counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jackson wants to sweep here but King controlling him for the moment.
Jackson wants to stand but King is controlling the position.
King is stalling in the full guard.
King trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
King is breathing heavily.

Jackson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
King controlling from the top position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Jackson throws a combination. King tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jackson tries for a takedown but King circles away easily
and King counters with a two punch combo.
Jackson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and King counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now.

Jackson tries to bench press King off him but King keeps the position.
A lull in the action here as King stalls from top position.
Jackson wants to control but King postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but King presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
King controlling his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Teej King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Jackson holds on for dear life, controlling King's posture momentarily.

King tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Teej King has got the better of the ground game so far.
King gets his hands free as Jackson looks to control.

King is looking for the choke from the back position but Jackson is controlling his hands well.
King takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Jackson tries to escape the position.
King is riding his opponent, not letting Jackson buck him off.

King has the hooks in. Jackson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
King has good solid back control here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
