Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Camden McCray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gabriel Crowley!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crowley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
McCray tries to improve position but can't.

Crowley takes a little break here. McCray wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
McCray dodges the ground and pound from Crowley.

McCray tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Crowley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Crowley has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Crowley shoots in and bounces McCray off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Crowley passes McCray's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crowley gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Crowley moves into range and clinches up with McCray.
Crowley manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Crowley gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McCray.

Crowley is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. McCray can't fight it off and eventually Crowley manages to take the fight to the floor. McCray looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Crowley wants to stand and escape but instead McCray has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Crowley pulls McCray in close to prevent any damage.

Crowley uses the cage to get back to his feet.

McCray wants to clinch

and Crowley counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Crowley.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Crowley moves into the clinch.
McCray prevents a takedown attempt there.

McCray is fighting off a takedown attempt but Crowley is just too persistent for him and manages to trip McCray to the mat. McCray regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
McCray is trying to keep Crowley in close.

McCray escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crowley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Crowley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCray doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

McCray is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Crowley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Crowley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
McCray looking for a sweep. Not yet McCray, not yet.
McCray wants to get back to his feet but Crowley is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McCray is working an open guard so Crowley takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Crowley feints and as McCray raises his hands in defense, Crowley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Crowley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Crowley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McCray was covering up waiting for the punch and Crowley finishes the takedown easily into guard.

McCray manages to escape and get back to his feet.

The referee asks Crowley politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Crowley prefers to stall for the moment though.

McCray is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Crowley keeps control of the position easily here as McCray tries to buck him off.

Crowley throwing wild punches that miss their target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gabriel Crowley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Crowley counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Crowley.

Crowley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
McCray looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Crowley puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
McCray is looking for a sweep. Crowley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
McCray won't allow Crowley to pass to mount.
Crowley has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Crowley is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. McCray can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Crowley blocks McCray's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Crowley throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for McCray because Crowley loaded up on that one.
McCray wants to control but Crowley is having none of it.
McCray is trying desperately to improve position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Crowley sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Well Crowley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
