Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ken Bendersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mad mic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bendersen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Love it loud. mad mic has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ken Bendersen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, mad mic! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! mic swings and misses with a hook to the body.
mic looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bendersen blocks a head kick by mic.
mic gets the takedown into side control. mic tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. mic working away. Bendersen looking for a sweep but mic has passed into full mount! Oh no! mic takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. mic can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bendersen is looking to escape. mic prevents Bendersen from getting the reversal. Bendersen is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Bendersen is trying to reverse the position but instead mic has taken his back - oops! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bendersen wants to get back to his feet. Bendersen turns into mic and is now in his guard.
Bendersen controls from within his opponent's guard. mic tries to land a sweep but no joy. mic looking to control.
Bendersen trying to control but mic is working from the bottom. mic not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. mic looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. mic rushes Bendersen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. mic utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Bendersen goes for a takedown in the clinch but mic prevents it.
mic keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bendersen's efforts to push away. mic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. mic shoots in but Bendersen avoids the takedown attempt easily. mic tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bendersen swivels and escapes. Ken Bendersen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mad mic. mic looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from mic. Bendersen doesn't succeed with the takedown and mic counters with a nice double leg into half guard. mic wants to take a breather but Bendersen is having none of it. Bendersen tries to kick mic off but mic keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. mic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bendersen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. mic seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
mad mic dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bendersen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. and mic counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bendersen! mic postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bendersen looks a forlorn figure.
mic prevents Bendersen from getting the reversal. mic controlling from mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bendersen really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
mic lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bendersen is looking to improve his position but mic isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. mic controlling the pace for now. Bendersen tries to reverse the position but mic maintains control. Bendersen trying desperately to get to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. mic tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bendersen is looking to get to half guard. Bendersen is squirming around, avoiding mic's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bendersen is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
mic content just to control the position here.
Despite being in the dominant position, mad mic just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bendersen gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows mic to score an easy takedown into full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bendersen scrambles and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
mad mic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
mic shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than mic was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! mic moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bendersen has worked his arm free - good work by Bendersen!
Bendersen is not content to let mic control the position. Bendersen sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. mic takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. mic controlling the action here. Bendersen wants to control but mic is keeping busy.
mic is trying to control. Bendersen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. mic is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
mic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bendersen keeps working. Bendersen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bendersen tries to push off, looking to stand up, but mic manages to move to mount!
mic trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. mic goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bendersen turns into him and now he's in mic's guard.
Bendersen postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bendersen drops back looking for a leg! mic is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and mic manages to kick Bendersen off! Bendersen jumps back into mic's guard. Bendersen stands up over mic, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. mic keeping moving, preventing Bendersen from controlling successfully. Bendersen cracks mic with a solid left hand. Ken Bendersen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bendersen with a flurry of punches that miss. mic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bendersen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of mic's head. mad mic is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bendersen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ken Bendersen. I think mic has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
