Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eazy E (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitri Tarasov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eazy E!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dmitri Tarasov!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tarasov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. E sprawls well initially but Tarasov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tarasov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Ground and pound from Tarasov.
Tarasov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Tarasov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed E's head.
E is trying to get back to full guard.
E avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tarasov.
E wants to sweep but Tarasov has passed to side control!
Tarasov works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tarasov cracks E with a big right hand but E just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tarasov looks up at the clock and then as E takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tarasov smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

E gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Tarasov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The fighters are battling for position here. E manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Tarasov is working E over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
E utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
E keeping moving, preventing Tarasov from controlling successfully.

E is looking to stand up but Tarasov isn't so interested in that idea.
E is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
E wants to stand and escape but Tarasov is having none of it.
E can't keep his opponent in guard - Tarasov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
E trying to hold on to Tarasov's head to control him but Tarasov postures up.

E wants to get back to his feet but Tarasov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

E is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
E not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tarasov trying to control but E is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

E forces Tarasov back against the cage and clinches.
E connects with a nasty looking knee right to Tarasov's face.
E avoiding damage.
Tarasov has E pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. E manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

E tries to score a body lock takedown but Tarasov shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
E changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tarasov fights it off and pushes away nicely.
E shoots in for a double leg but Tarasov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eazy E. That's going to take a lot out of him.

E is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tarasov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Tarasov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

E is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tarasov defends well.
E controls Tarasov momentarily but Tarasov frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


E tries for a takedown but Tarasov circles away easily

and Tarasov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
E has momentary wrist control but Tarasov slips an elbow through the middle.
Tarasov wants to control from the top but E keeps moving.
E is trying to control the position but Tarasov postures up.
E throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
E controls Tarasov momentarily but Tarasov frees himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tarasov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tarasov won't allow E to get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tarasov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

E is looking to improve his position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tarasov is trying to control the action in half guard but E is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Tarasov drops an elbow to the side of E's head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tarasov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
E is pressing down on Tarasov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

E drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tarasov dives on top into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now E is on top in guard.

E is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tarasov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tarasov has escaped and now he's on top!

Dmitri Tarasov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

E is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tarasov has just dragged him back down to the mat.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Eazy E has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
E tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Dmitri Tarasov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Dmitri Tarasov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Tarasov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
