Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Myron Sores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Milisits (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Myron Sores!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Milisits!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sores takes the fight into the clinch.

Sores gets control of Milisits's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sores will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Sores keeping moving, preventing Milisits from controlling successfully.

Sores working for a triangle but Milisits defends it easily.

Milisits drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sores looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sores looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sores!
Sores wants to control but Milisits is keeping him busy.

Sores is trying to get an arm triangle but Milisits is defending well.

Milisits is trying to stand back up but Sores is controlling him

Sores seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Milisits does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Milisits tries to kick Sores off but Sores keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Milisits holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Sores is trying to control. Milisits wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sores fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sores tries to clinch but Milisits moves out of range.
Sores is breathing heavily.
Milisits tries to clinch up.
Milisits takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

and Sores counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sores.
Milisits is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Milisits pushes Sores off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Milisits is looking to clinch but Sores is avoiding it.

Milisits is working for takedown but Sores is calmly controlling the position for now.
Sores stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Sores pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sores rushes Milisits and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Milisits breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Milisits tries to clinch there but Sores circles away.
Sores misses with a hook. Milisits ducked under it nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Milisits.
Myron Sores has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Milisits.
Sores darts in trying to clinch
and Milisits counters with a good low kick that Sores was not able to check.

Sores scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Milisits parries the strikes from Sores easily there. Sores is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Milisits to escape.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Sores decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sores prevents Milisits from standing back up.

Milisits is trying to stand back up but Sores is controlling him

Sores decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Milisits has Sores pressed against the cage, preventing Sores from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Milisits wants the takedown. Sores is fighting it off but Milisits persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sores's guard against the cage.

Sores is trying to maintain a safe position but Milisits gets an underhook and turns Sores into the cage.
Milisits drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sores pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Milisits counters with a right hand to the body.

Sores decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sores throws a strike but Milisits avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Sores trying to control the position from guard on top but Milisits is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Myron Sores overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Milisits tries to clinch but Sores moves out of range.
Sores displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Milisits throws out the jab.
Milisits connects with a solid leg kick.
Sores takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Myron Sores seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sores shoots in for a takedown but Milisits shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Milisits gets a clinch.
Sores avoiding damage as Milisits throws knees to the body.
Milisits tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sores avoids it.
Milisits has had enough of the clinch but Sores keeps him there for the moment.
Sores is looking to break free of the clinch but Milisits has double underhooks.
Sores wants to get back to striking at distance but Milisits won't allow it.

Milisits is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sores can't fight it off and eventually Milisits manages to take the fight to the floor. Sores looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Milisits postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sores is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Milisits, into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Mark Milisits will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Sores fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Milisits avoids it really well and circles away.

Sores is trying to drag Milisits to the mat but Milisits just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Milisits is pushing Sores up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

I think Milisits has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
