Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Demarcus Ware (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Runner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ware comes to the cage accompanied by Put on. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demarcus Ware! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Runner! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ware swats away the attempt to clinch by Runner. Runner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ware napping and manages to drive through into side control! Runner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ware has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Runner has knee on belly and moves into mount. Runner tries to control but Ware wriggling away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Runner is working for a guillotine from mount but Ware frees his head quite easily.
Ware bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Ware trying to control the position from guard on top but Runner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ware postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ware passes Runner's left leg - he's now in half guard. Ware is working for a kimura but Runner is defending it quite comfortably.
Runner actively working from the bottom here. Ware is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Runner sees it coming and defends easily. Ware is breathing heavily. Runner looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Runner wants to control but Ware is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ware is looking to advance position but Runner won't allow it. Runner is refusing to be controlled, as Ware sits in half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Runner doesn't manage to clinch there - Ware circles away.
Runner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ware as he jumps to the side. Ware displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Runner. Ware with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Ware throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Runner. Ware takes the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Runner tries to pull guard but Ware won't allow it.
Demarcus Ware has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Runner. Ware has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Runner uses from the top position. Runner tries to free his leg and advance position but Ware is retaining full guard. Ware is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ware content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Ware moves nicely into side control. Ware thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Runner is looking to regain half guard here but Ware keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ware stands up and beckons Runner to his feet. A punch combination from Ware misses. Ware is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Runner's half guard. Runner looking for submissions off his back. Runner is not content to let Ware control the position. Runner actively working from the bottom here. Runner won't allow Ware to pass to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Demarcus Ware dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ware looks to land a body kick but Runner moved away. Runner showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ware.
Ware drives through and clinches with Runner against the cage.
Ware gets a trip takedown into half guard. Runner looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Runner trying to control from the bottom.
Runner is trying to get back to full guard. Ware is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Runner is looking to control Ware's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Runner avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. Ware trying to control from half guard but Runner is working away. Runner looking for submissions off his back. Runner is in trouble now - Ware has advanced to mount! Ware takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ware looking to control but Runner is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Runner is trying to escape the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Runner has given up his back here. Will Ware look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Ware is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Runner trying to control the hands but Ware breaks the grip. Ware looking for the choke but no joy. Ware patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Ware looking to break Runner's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Runner remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Ware will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Ware avoiding Runner 's attempts to control his hands. Runner avoids the strikes from Ware.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Runner trying to control the hands but Ware breaks the grip. Ware working for a choke but Runner is defending well. Ware is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Runner is defending well though. Ware let's go of the attempt for now. Runner turns into Ware and is now in his guard.
Ware is looking for a triangle but Runner pushes his legs off easily.
Ware is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Runner is aware though and is defending well. Ware is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ware is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Runner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ware has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Runner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ware looking for a sweep. Not yet Ware, not yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Runner won't allow Ware to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Demarcus Ware dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Runner doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ware counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ware wants to pass the guard but Runner is keeping the position. Runner has his foot on Ware's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ware works his way back into a safe position though. Ware thows a big elbow that misses. Ware has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Runner to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ware is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Runner pulls down on the head and he's put Ware to sleep! This one is all over!
