Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobbie Rex! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helio Manna! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manna scores a takedown into full mount! Manna looking for a guillotine from mount but Rex is having none of it. Rex might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Manna goes for an armbar but Rex turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Rex. Rex got a little sloppy there for a moment and Manna has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rex has managed to get both his arms back between Manna's legs - danger averted. Manna is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rex is aware though and is defending well. Manna looking for a guillotine here but Rex defends easily.
Rex has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Manna is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manna is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rex defends well. Manna had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rex defends it easily. Manna looks gassed! Manna looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rex puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Manna looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Manna is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Manna looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Rex pushes past his half guard into mount! Manna is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rex stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Manna checks the leg kick nicely there.
Manna ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rex rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Manna moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manna shoots in and drives through. Rex sprawls well. Manna slips under a jab. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Rex fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manna manages to avoid it. Manna darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Manna seems to be looking for submissions.
Rex wants to get back to his feet. Manna is working for a submission of some sort.
Manna is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rex has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Manna is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Rex reverses the position - he's now on top in Manna's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Manna is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Manna has his foot on Rex's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rex works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Helio Manna dominated that round. That's time! Rex's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rex tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Manna was well out of range. Poor timing from Rex. Rex stuffs the takedown attempt from Manna. Manna gets slowly back to his feet. Rex looks to score with a jab to the body but Manna is just out of range. Manna fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Manna bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Manna wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rex, who protects the arm well. Rex knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Manna on the ground. Manna swings around for an armbar but Rex sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Manna's guard. Manna escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rex gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Manna throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rex escapes and throws Manna's legs to the side, diving into side control! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manna is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Rex has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Manna looks for a takedown but Rex sprawls well. Bobbie Rex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Helio Manna.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rex throws a low kick but Manna avoids it. Rex pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Manna has a takedown stuffed. Rex swinging wilding here.
Rex slaps away a takedown attempt from Manna, before circling back to the center of the mat. Manna has a takedown stuffed. Manna closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rex to the mat! Rex manages to get full guard. Manna drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rex dives on top into guard. Manna is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rex avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Manna is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rex pulls his head out easily. Rex decides to return to a standing position. Manna fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rex fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manna manages to avoid it. Manna ducks under a wild hook from Rex. Rex will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Manna closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rex circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Bobbie Rex will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Manna is looking for a kimura but Rex is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Manna to get the leverage. Manna is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rex defends it well. Rex looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rex thows a body shot but no joy.

Rex has picked Manna up and slammed him! Manna can't keep hold of the triangle and Rex manages to pass to side control!

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rex stands up from mount. Strange move. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Manna is desperately trying to improve his position but Rex has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rex get's back to his feet. Manna will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rex punishes Manna's body with a nice straight punch. Manna changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rex looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Manna is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rex has escaped the position, nice work there. Manna tries for a kimura but Rex is defending well.

Manna swings around for an armbar but Rex sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Manna's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Manna has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rex is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Manna. Manna tries to buck Rex off but Rex is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close fourth round but Helio Manna will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rex gets to mount! Manna was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Bobbie Rex has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rex avoids the attempt from Manna to control.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Helio Manna. I think Manna has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
