Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kimmo Kinnunen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vladimir Mordant!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinnunen doesn't manage to clinch there - Mordant circles away.
Kinnunen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kinnunen closes the distance and clinches up with Mordant, looking for a takedown. Kinnunen pushes Mordant against the cage but Mordant circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kinnunen shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kimmo Kinnunen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mordant is pressed up against the cage. Kinnunen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mordant down to the mat. Mordant avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kimmo Kinnunen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mordant decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kinnunen wants to control but Mordant is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Mordant takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Mordant's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Kinnunen is staying active underneath Mordant, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

and Mordant counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kinnunen won't be happy with that.
