Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Pinto Nobre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinto Nobre has chosen Disturbed - The Night as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Pinto Nobre with that takedown attempt.
Pinto Nobre avoids the head kick by Dias.
Pinto Nobre tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dias sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pinto Nobre somewhat.

Pinto Nobre gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dias to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dias slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Dias seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pinto Nobre for as long as he can get away with.
Dias wants to pass the guard but Pinto Nobre is keeping the position.

Dias wants to control from the top but Pinto Nobre keeps moving.

Pinto Nobre is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dias looking to sit in guard and control but Pinto Nobre gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Pinto Nobre is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dias is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dias has escaped and now he's on top!

Dias postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pinto Nobre is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dias, into his guard.

Pinto Nobre drops back looking for a leg! Dias is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dias manages to kick Pinto Nobre off! Pinto Nobre jumps back into Dias's guard.

Pinto Nobre thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Pinto Nobre drops back looking for a leg! Dias is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dias manages to kick Pinto Nobre off! Pinto Nobre jumps back into Dias's guard.

Dias is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pinto Nobre defends well.

Dias has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pinto Nobre can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dias is breathing heavily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Pinto Nobre postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dias is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pinto Nobre, into his guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Dias fails to land with a series of punches.
Pinto Nobre with a lazy takedown attempt

so Dias counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Pinto Nobre is looking to stand up but Dias isn't so interested in that idea.
Dias in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Dias slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Dias tries for a kimura but Pinto Nobre is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dias landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Dias controls the position.
Dias working the ground and pound but Pinto Nobre is defending the strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dias tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dias has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pinto Nobre is looking to reverse the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dias wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pinto Nobre keeps working.

Dias stands up and beckons Pinto Nobre to his feet.
Dias fails with the takedown

and Pinto Nobre counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dias!
Marcos Dias overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dias tries to improve his position but instead Pinto Nobre has taken his back!

Pinto Nobre is working for a rear naked choke. Dias is not defending it well and Pinto Nobre has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Dias refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Dias's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Miguel Pinto Nobre!
