Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fahir Hassan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devin Morningstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. This should be a great matchup!

1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fahir Hassan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Devin Morningstar! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Morningstar misses. Morningstar looks gassed! Hassan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Morningstar did well to prevent Hassan getting side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hassan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Hassan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hassan controlling the pace for now. Morningstar is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Fahir Hassan just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Morningstar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hassan. Morningstar throws a shot from downtown. Hassan moves away and avoids it. Hassan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Morningstar avoids it really well and circles away. Horrible takedown by Hassan or perhaps it was just good defense by Morningstar which made him look bad.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hassan fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fahir Hassan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hassan shoots in for a takedown but Morningstar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A right-left combo lands from Morningstar. Hassan closes the distance and clinches up with Morningstar, looking for a takedown. Hassan pushes Morningstar against the cage but Morningstar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hassan has a takedown stuffed. Hassan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Morningstar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Fahir Hassan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Morningstar misses with a jab, cross combination.

Hassan controlling the pace for now. Hassan wants to control the pace but Morningstar is squirming around nicely. Hassan controlling the position easily from mount. Morningstar is being controlled here. Morningstar prevents Hassan from improving position. Hassan just content to control the position. Morningstar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hassan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hassan landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hassan controlling the position from side mount. Hassan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Morningstar wants to get back to full guard. Morningstar tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Hassan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hassan blocks the strikes from Morningstar.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice jab there from Morningstar. Hassan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Morningstar.
Morningstar stuffs the takedown attempt from Hassan. Hassan gets slowly back to his feet. Morningstar misses with a hook. Hassan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Morningstar sprawls well. Morningstar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hassan gets slowly back to his feet. Hassan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Morningstar shoots in but no luck this time. Morningstar lands a jab to the nose. Morningstar throws a series of punches but Hassan moves out of range. Devin Morningstar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hassan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Morningstar as he avoids it easily. Hassan scores a takedown into full mount! Hassan controlling from the full mount.

Hassan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Morningstar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Morningstar swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Morningstar keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Morningstar says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hassan trying to pass the guard but Morningstar defending well. The fighters are battling for position here. Morningstar manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Morningstar is looking for a triangle but Hassan pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Morningstar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Morningstar is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Morningstar working for submissions but it's allowed Hassan to get to half guard.
Hassan working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hassan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hassan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Morningstar tries to get to full guard but Hassan has control of the leg. Still in half guard, Hassan seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Morningstar is trying to stand.
Morningstar is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Hassan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Devin Morningstar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fahir Hassan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Morningstar looking for a kimura from the bottom but Hassan passes into side control!
And that's the end of the fight! Fahir Hassan showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hassan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
