Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hans Bornemann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sung Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hans Bornemann !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sung Kim!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bornemann shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Kim squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bornemann is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Bornemann misses with a head shot.

Bornemann swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kim is now in Bornemann 's guard. A big mistake from Bornemann there, giving up the dominant position!
Kim passes Bornemann 's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Bornemann makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bornemann .
Kim trying to control but Bornemann is working from the bottom.

Bornemann looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kim has picked Bornemann up and slammed him! Bornemann can't keep hold of the triangle and Kim manages to pass to side control!

Kim tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kim has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bornemann tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kim wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Bornemann is working hard here to advance position.

Kim tries for a kimura but Bornemann is defending well.
Kim tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Bornemann sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Bornemann is looking to improve his position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kim is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bornemann is just riding it out for now. Kim eventually gives up the hold.
Kim looks gassed!
Bornemann is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kim leaves Bornemann with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hans Bornemann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bornemann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kim tries to avoid it but Bornemann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kim to the ground. Kim escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kim. That's going to slow Bornemann down.
Kim stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kim wants it to stay on the feet.

Bornemann looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kim is fending him off so far but Bornemann persists. Nope, Kim circles away and we're back to standing.

Kim feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bornemann 's calf.
Bornemann misses with a takedown attempt - Kim sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kim goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kim throws a sloppy head kick and Bornemann moves out of range easily.
Bornemann shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kim sprawls well. Kim wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bornemann gets slowly back to his feet.
Bornemann closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kim circles away.
Kim lets loose with a powerful body kick. Bornemann will feel that in the morning.
Kim throws out a leg kick but Bornemann moves out of range and Kim only half commits.
A head kick misses from Kim.
Horrible takedown by Bornemann or perhaps it was just good defense by Kim which made him look bad.

Kim misses with a body kick.
Kim is looking to slow Bornemann down with leg kicks.
A head kick from Kim lands but Bornemann takes it in his stride.
A thudding body kick lands there by Kim!
Bornemann takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kim - that will leave a mark!
Kim rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bornemann moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kim pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bornemann is out of range and Kim settles back down.
Bornemann shoots in for a takedown but Kim shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bornemann on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kim. Kim obviously looking to wear him down.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kim scores with a nice right hand.
Kim throws a head kick but Bornemann moves out of range.

Bornemann changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kim looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sung Kim dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bornemann tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bornemann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kim tries to avoid it but Bornemann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kim to the ground. Kim escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sung Kim is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kim pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Bornemann shoots in and drives through. Kim sprawls well.
Kim lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kim throws a series of strikes that have Bornemann backpedaling.
Kim stalks Bornemann and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bornemann 's face. Bornemann staggers backwards, shaken.
Kim displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bornemann .

Kim throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bornemann .
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kim throws a combination. Bornemann tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bornemann throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kim's waist but Kim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bornemann off to one side.
Good leg kick by Kim there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kim throws a sloppy head kick and Bornemann moves out of range easily.
Kim throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A jab from Kim finds it's way through Bornemann 's defenses.
Kim feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bornemann 's calf.

Bornemann shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Bornemann misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Kim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bornemann circles away quickly and effectively.

Bornemann tries to free his leg and advance position but Kim is retaining full guard.

Bornemann won't allow Kim to get back to his feet.

Kim wants to stand and escape but Bornemann is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bornemann moves out of range of the body kick.
Kim stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kim wants it to stay on the feet.
Bornemann fails with a takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kim connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sung Kim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kim throws a combination. Bornemann tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Bornemann checks a low kick from Kim.
Bornemann is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Bornemann throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kim was covering up waiting for the punch and Bornemann finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Bornemann is looking to pass into half guard but Kim pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Kim is in guard.

Kim drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kim jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bornemann is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kim is aware though and is defending well.
Kim is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bornemann is looking to sweep but instead, Kim has passed into half guard.
Bornemann wants to sweep but Kim has passed to side control!

Kim trying to control the action but Bornemann is working from the bottom.
Bornemann tries to bench press Kim off him but Kim keeps the position.

Kim works his foot free and advances to mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bornemann bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Bornemann is looking to advance position but Kim has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Bornemann is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Kim throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Hans Bornemann has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bornemann is bucking up trying to escape but Kim cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Hans Bornemann overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kim is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bornemann is just riding it out for now. Kim eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bornemann is on top in guard.

Bornemann sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kim's guard.

Bornemann thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kim's head.
Sung Kim is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bornemann not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Bornemann is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kim has managed to free his arm - good work.

I think Kim has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
