Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jock McEwan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McEwan shoots for a takedown but Brown saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

McEwan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

McEwan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brown's guard.

McEwan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brown looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

McEwan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
