Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sigfredo Pineda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Rothstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pineda comes into the arena with "Suffer" by Vision of Disorder blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Al Rothstein! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rothstein keeps the fight on the outside. Rothstein just misses with a punch to the body.
Pineda clinches. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Pineda misses with a knee to the head. Pineda with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Pineda rushes Rothstein and presses him up against the cage. Rothstein on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Pineda scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Pineda is looking to clinch. Pineda pushes Rothstein up against the cage in a clinch. Rothstein looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Pineda lands an elbow that stopped Rothstein in his tracks for a moment. A knee to the head by Pineda.

It looks like Sigfredo Pineda has been cut. Rothstein throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rothstein scores with a jab to the body. Rothstein takes a swing at Pineda's ribcage but misses. Rothstein dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Rothstein tries to bum rush Pineda with a series of wild strikes but Pineda uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pineda tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rothstein swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rothstein throws a one two combo.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rothstein lunges at Pineda with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pineda's hand. Rothstein misses with a wild combination.

Sigfredo Pineda's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. A low kick from Rothstein is predictable there and Pineda counters by moving into the clinch. Pineda using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rothstein has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Rothstein scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Al Rothstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pineda drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Rothstein changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Pineda moves in looking to clinch but Rothstein pushes him off. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pineda slips a jab and a cross from Rothstein.

Rothstein is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Rothstein moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Rothstein stuns Pineda with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Al Rothstein dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Pineda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The fight stays on the outside here - Pineda looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rothstein misses with a series of wild punches.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Pineda just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rothstein's brow. Pineda has Rothstein pressed against the cage, preventing Rothstein from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Rothstein makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Rothstein is trying to break the clinch but Pineda has him pressed against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Rothstein.
