Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gouge Velouria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jon Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gouge Velouria! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velouria leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Excellent takedown into side control there by Velouria. Velouria happy to just control the position for now. Velouria wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Velouria advances to mount. Jones is breathing heavily. Velouria looking to control and managing it successfully. Jones is squirming around, avoiding Velouria's attempts to control the action. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Velouria lands a big shot there that rocks Jones but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Despite being in the dominant position, Gouge Velouria just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Velouria closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
I looks like Velouria might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Velouria passes to side control. Velouria trying to control the position but Jones is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velouria lands a nice forearm strike. Jones is trying to escape the position but Velouria is controlling the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jones is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Velouria has just dragged him back down to the mat. Jones is trying to escape the position but Velouria is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Velouria seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Let's hope that Velouria has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jones keeping moving, preventing Velouria from controlling successfully. Velouria stops Jones from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gouge Velouria dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Velouria drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Velouria is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Velouria is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Velouria trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones tries to strike from the bottom.
Jones wants to stand up but Velouria is controlling him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Velouria stopping the sweep attempt from Jones. Jones keeping moving, preventing Velouria from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velouria not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Velouria's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Velouria can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Velouria shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Velouria showed some decent athleticism there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is holding on to half guard well. Velouria really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Velouria passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones! Velouria controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velouria trying to control but he's not successful this time. Jones can't escape the position.
Jones holds on to Velouria as tight as he can, avoiding damage. Velouria takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jones tries to reverse the position but Velouria maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Velouria controlling from the full mount. Jones is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jones tries to hold on but Velouria pushes him away. Velouria trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Jones can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gouge Velouria showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Jones tries for a takedown but Velouria circles away easily and Velouria counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that. Gouge Velouria has got the better of the ground game so far. Velouria decides to stand back up. Velouria bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Velouria working away. Jones tries to buck Velouria off but Velouria is having none of it. Velouria trying to control the position but Jones is working away. Jones takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Jones is looking for a sweep. Velouria is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to control but Velouria postures up. Jones is pushing Velouria's head away, looking to escape. Velouria manages to hold on to the position though.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones tries for a takedown but Velouria circles away easily and Velouria counters with a single leg into guard. Jones didn't expect that. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Velouria's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jones striking off his back but it's not causing Velouria any problems. Velouria looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to control from the top but Velouria keeps moving. Velouria is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Velouria prevents Jones from standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to get back to full guard. Velouria not landing any meaningful shots this time. Gouge Velouria is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Velouria wants to pass the guard but Jones is defending well. Jones is refusing to be controlled, as Velouria sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Velouria shoots in and bounces Jones off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Jones keeping moving, preventing Velouria from controlling successfully. Velouria controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Jon Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jones wants to stand and escape but Velouria is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Gouge Velouria comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Velouria has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
