Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Schillaci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oni Kawajiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kawajiri's choice of entrance music: Like a G6. David Schillaci could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Oni Kawajiri's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Oni Kawajiri!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schillaci doesn't manage to clinch there - Kawajiri circles away.
David Schillaci seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schillaci throws a nice looking combination but Kawajiri bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Schillaci throws a right hand that Kawajiri ducks under and follows up with a left that Kawajiri also avoids with ease.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Kawajiri.
Schillaci wants to get back to his feet.
Schillaci bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Schillaci swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Schillaci throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kawajiri slips a jab and a cross from Schillaci.
Kawajiri closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kawajiri winds up and cracks Schillaci with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Schillaci looks like he's trying to stand up.
Schillaci is breathing heavily.
Kawajiri trying to pass the guard but Schillaci defending well.
Kawajiri has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

I looks like Kawajiri might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kawajiri is trying to control the action in half guard but Schillaci is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kawajiri prevents Schillaci from standing back up.
Schillaci manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Kawajiri wants to finish this one by submission but Schillaci is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kawajiri.
