And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Utak Sidmacho!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sidmacho.
Suzuki throws a quick inside leg kick.
Utak Sidmacho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suzuki lands with a kick to the ribs.
Suzuki scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sidmacho avoids the head kick by Suzuki.
Suzuki throws a nice outside leg kick.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sidmacho bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sidmacho sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Sidmacho's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Suzuki goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Suzuki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Sidmacho has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Suzuki.
Sidmacho moves out of range of the body kick.
Suzuki tries to land a leg kick but Sidmacho saw it coming and moves away.

Suzuki connects with a solid leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Suzuki throws a front kick aimed at Sidmacho's knee but Sidmacho avoids it well.
Suzuki throws a front kick that sends Sidmacho stumbling back into the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Suzuki scores with a kick to the midsection.
Suzuki explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Suzuki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Suzuki throws a half hearted mid kick.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sidmacho takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Suzuki throws the kick towards the body but Sidmacho avoids it.
Utak Sidmacho has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Suzuki has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
