Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between barak carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Duvernay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, barak carwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raymond Duvernay!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
carwin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Duvernay but Duvernay pushes him off and we're back to square one.
carwin misses with a double jab.
carwin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Duvernay uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from carwin.
Duvernay looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
carwin shoots in for a double leg but Duvernay sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
carwin throws a head kick that misses.
carwin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for barak carwin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A thudding body kick lands there by Duvernay!
Duvernay tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
carwin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Duvernay swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Duvernay should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

carwin has Duvernay pressed against the cage, preventing Duvernay from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Duvernay stops a takedown attempt from carwin.

carwin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and carwin makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Duvernay throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around carwin's waist but carwin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Duvernay off to one side.

Duvernay throws a head kick that misses.
Duvernay wants to clinch up but carwin keeps it at a distance.
Duvernay tries to clinch there but carwin circles away.

and Duvernay decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in carwin's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Duvernay wants to control from the top but carwin keeps moving.
Duvernay might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control carwin kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
carwin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Duvernay controls the pace.

Duvernay is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

carwin is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
carwin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Duvernay walks away with a smile on his face. carwin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Duvernay avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Duvernay throws a head kick but carwin moves out of range.
carwin fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
carwin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
carwin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
carwin shoots and misses
and Duvernay counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Duvernay tries a head kick but it misses.
carwin tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Duvernay counters with a head kick.
A low kick from carwin misses
and Duvernay counters with a good low kick that carwin was not able to check.
Duvernay is looking to clinch.
Duvernay feints a jab and as carwin dips his head, Duvernay unleashes a brutal head kick that catches carwin right on the jaw! Timbeeer! carwin falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Duvernay smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Raymond Duvernay!
