Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Elvis Who!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Crazy Horse!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horse tries for a takedown but Who sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Who lands a head kick. Horse smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Horse crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Who - the referee stops the clock and Horse gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Who. Horse manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Horse scores a takedown into full mount!
Who bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Horse is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Who gets to his feet. Horse looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Who dodges the punch combination from Horse.
Who fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Horse lands with an uppercut that bounces Who off the cage and back into rage.
Horse scores with a takedown into Who's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Who wants to stand and escape but Horse is having none of it.
Who has a closed guard, preventing Horse from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Horse missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Horse looking to sit in guard and control but Who gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Who stands up and waves to Horse to follow him.
Who misses with a looping left.
Horse tries for a takedown but Who circles away easily
and Who counters with a takedown into side control.
Who is breathing heavily.
Who decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Horse fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Elvis Who has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Crazy Horse.
Who has managed to clinch.
Who jumps into guard, dragging Horse to the mat.
Horse is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Horse really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Who. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Who pushes Horse off and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Who looks to land a combination. Horse sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Horse shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Who throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Who wants to get back to his feet but Horse is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Who is looking to sinch up a triangle. Horse throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Who's body to avoid the submission. Who has instead reached around Horse's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Who arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Elvis Who!
