The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bla shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Spyridon is trying to defend but bla finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
bla is looking to take a break and control but Spyridon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Spyridon moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
bla won't allow Spyridon to sweep him here.
Spyridon is looking for a triangle but bla pushes his legs off easily.
bla controlling from the top position.
bla wants to stand but Spyridon is controlling his posture from full guard.

Spyridon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. bla gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
bla stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spyridon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Spyridon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Spyridon looking for a guillotine from mount but bla is having none of it.
bla tries to reverse the position but Spyridon maintains control.
bla tries to improve his position but Spyridon has taken his back! Spyridon has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will bla tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Spyridon pushes bla away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
