Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilson Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hikmet Asil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wilson Wilson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hikmet Asil! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson gets a clinch. Wilson wants a takedown.
Asil throws a head punch that misses. Wilson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Wilson is looking to control Asil's arms but Asil gets an underhook and turns him. Now Wilson has his back to the cage. Wilson manages to break the clinch.
Left hook, right uppercut from Wilson. Asil throws a head kick but Wilson moves out of range.
Wilson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Wilson blocks a leg kick. Wilson tries to keep at a distance but Asil has taken the fight into the clinch. Asil lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Asil is working for takedown but Wilson is calmly controlling the position for now. Asil is pressed up against the cage. Wilson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Asil down to the mat. Asil avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilson Wilson. That's going to take a lot out of him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wilson. Asil tries to clinch but fails miserably and Wilson counters with a one-two to the body. Asil darts in trying to clinch and Wilson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wilson. A frustrated look appears on Wilson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Asil has Wilson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wilson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Wilson wants a takedown.
Wilson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Asil gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Asil is trying to drag Wilson to the mat but Wilson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Asil tries for a takedown but Wilson manages to get underhooks.
Asil is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Wilson takes a knee right on the jaw!
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Asil just misses with a elbow thrown towards Wilson's brow. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Asil obliges. Asil throws a knee to the head but misses.

Asil looks gassed! Asil is looking to control Wilson's arms but Wilson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Asil has his back to the cage. Asil utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Wilson taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Wilson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Asil tries to land knees in the clinch but Wilson avoids the damage to the body. Wilson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Wilson with a flurry of punches that miss. Wilson takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Wilson scoring with some ground and pound. Wilson stands up over Asil, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Asil bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wilson's guard. Wilson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Asil postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Asil throwing strikes from guard but Wilson blocks nicely. Asil is looking to work some ground and pound but Wilson has wrist control. Asil won't allow Wilson to get back to his feet. Asil trying to control but Wilson is working from the bottom. Wilson tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Asil controls the pace. Asil slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson can't do much from the bottom here. Asil landing strikes. Wilson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Asil wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Asil landing a few strikes. Asil working away. Wilson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Wilson drops an elbow to the side of Asil's head. Wilson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Asil defending well though. Wilson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Asil's head. Asil gets full guard. Asil tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wilson prevents Asil from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilson lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wilson preventing the sweep. Wilson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wilson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Wilson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Asil's head. Asil working for a triangle but Wilson defends it easily.

Wilson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wilson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Asil has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wilson has managed to get both his arms back between Asil's legs - danger averted. Wilson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wilson Wilson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Wilson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Asil was covering up waiting for the punch and Wilson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Wilson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Wilson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Asil is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wilson off and has taken his back! Wilson trying to get back to his feet but Asil is in full control for now. Asil scores with punches and elbows. Wilson is trying to stand back up. Wilson looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Asil lands an elbow to the side of the head. Wilson trying to control the position but Asil manages to sink in the hooks. Wilson rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Asil not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Wilson is staying active underneath Asil, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Asil seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Asil is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Asil is trying to control the action in half guard but Wilson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Asil tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wilson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Asil throwing shots but Wilson is blocking nicely. Asil thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Asil buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Asil darts in trying to clinch and Wilson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wilson is nestled in close to Asil, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Asil is pressing down on Wilson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Asil can't keep his opponent in guard - Wilson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Asil wants to get back to his feet.

Wilson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Asil sprawls well. Asil wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wilson gets slowly back to his feet. Asil darts in trying to clinch and Wilson counters with a takedown into side control. Wilson cracks Asil with an elbow. That is naaassty. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wilson grinds an elbow into Asil's temple. Wilson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Asil to see if he's OK. Asil takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Asil is trying to get back to his feet. Asil takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Asil manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Asil trying to control but Wilson postures up.
Wilson drops an elbow to the side of Asil's head. Asil wants to get back to full guard. Asil is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Wilson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Asil with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Wilson lands with a punch from half guard. Wilson winds up and cracks Asil with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Wilson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Asil manages to get to full guard.

Wilson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Wilson is working Asil over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Wilson looking to sit in guard and control but Asil gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Wilson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Asil is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Asil trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wilson wants to get back to his feet but Asil is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Asil trying to control but Wilson is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Asil looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wilson stands up over Asil, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Wilson trying to control but Asil is working from the bottom. Wilson Wilson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wilson stands up and waves to Asil to follow him. Asil shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wilson defends it nicely. Wilson misses with a low kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Wilson Wilson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wilson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
