Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Hawkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Angel Dixon! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dixon rushes Hawkins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dixon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hawkins fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dixon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hawkins is trying to defend but Dixon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Hawkins tries to kick Dixon off but Dixon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Dixon wants to free his trapped foot but Hawkins is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hawkins wants to control but Dixon is keeping busy.
Dixon is looking to take a break and control but Hawkins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dixon gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Dixon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hawkins looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkins decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Dixon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A punch combination from Dixon misses. Hawkins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dixon moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dixon is looking to clinch but Hawkins is avoiding it.
Hawkins throws a combination. Dixon tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Hawkins throws a right hand that Dixon ducks under and follows up with a left that Dixon also avoids with ease. Hawkins scores with a body shot.
Dixon looks gassed! Dixon throws a combination that misses and Hawkins counters with a series of strikes. Dixon will be more careful next time no doubt. Dixon misses with a combination
and Hawkins counters with a head kick. That will keep Dixon thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! A combination from Hawkins does no damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hawkins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dixon is fending him off so far but Hawkins persists. Nope, Dixon circles away and we're back to standing. Hawkins lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hawkins lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hawkins.
Hawkins scores with a one two! Dixon had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Hawkins throws a right hand that Dixon ducks under and follows up with a left that Dixon also avoids with ease. Some wild striking there from Hawkins.
Hawkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hawkins lands a head kick. Dixon smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Hawkins gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hawkins pulls guard successfully.
Hawkins trying to keep a closed guard but Dixon is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dixon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hawkins, up you get! Hawkins lands a head kick!
Dixon throws a lazy right hand but Hawkins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hawkins instigates a clinch. Hawkins breaks the clinch.
Hawkins closes the distance and lands a one-two. Dixon falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hawkins counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hawkins slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dixon is not content to let Hawkins control the position. Hawkins decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Dixon misses with a low kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hawkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dixon tries to avoid it but Hawkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dixon to the ground. Dixon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hawkins is working the combinations to good effect here. Dixon misses with a double jab
and Hawkins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dixon's guard now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Hawkins dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dixon scores with a nice right hand.
Dixon doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Hawkins counter with a right hand. Dixon takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Dixon falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hawkins counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hawkins. Hawkins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dixon keeping moving, preventing Hawkins from controlling successfully. Hawkins trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dixon's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dixon wants to stand but Hawkins is controlling the position. Johnny Hawkins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkins decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Dixon misses with a double jab
and Hawkins counters by clinching up. Hawkins holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Hawkins landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Hawkins is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dixon lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Dixon lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Dixon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Angel Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dixon falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hawkins holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Come on Hawkins - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Dixon breaks from the clinch.
Dixon has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Dixon avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hawkins throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dixon tries to clinch but Hawkins moves away and Hawkins counters with a left and a right that stings Dixon. Dixon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dixon closes the distance looking to clinch and Hawkins counters with a one-two to the body. Dixon throws a combination that misses and Hawkins counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dixon! Hawkins goes for an armbar but Dixon turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Dixon. Hawkins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hawkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dixon wants to control from the top but Hawkins keeps moving. Dixon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Hawkins connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Hawkins throws a head kick but Dixon moves out of range.
Dixon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Dixon misses with a two punch combination.
Dixon wants to clinch but Hawkins slips to the side and Hawkins counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hawkins prevents Dixon from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hawkins is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Hawkins dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Dixon falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Hawkins to counter with a crisp jab. Hawkins moves in looking to clinch but Dixon pushes him off. Dixon misses with a few strikes there.
Hawkins closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dixon is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hawkins asserts his dominance and retains side control. Hawkins decides to stand back up. Hawkins steps back and let's Dixon get back to his feet. An inside leg kick lands from Hawkins. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hawkins. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hawkins backs up against the cage.
Hawkins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dixon is trying to defend but Hawkins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Dixon regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Hawkins. Hawkins stands up from guard. Let's bang! Some wild striking there from Hawkins.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dixon tries a head kick but it misses.
Hawkins fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hawkins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dixon is trying to defend but Hawkins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Hawkins passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dixon! Hawkins lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dixon is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Dixon is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Hawkins putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Hawkins trying to control but Dixon is having none of it. Hawkins sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Angel Dixon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hawkins lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hawkins is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dixon has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hawkins tries to control but Dixon wriggling away.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Hawkins showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hawkins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
