Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Hanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Larry Guy! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guy closes the distance and clinches up with Hanson, looking for a takedown. Guy pushes Hanson against the cage but Hanson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hanson moves into the clinch successfully.
Guy tries for a takedown. No joy.
Guy managing to block the knees to the body from Hanson.
Hanson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Guy regains guard immediately. Hanson wanted to stand there but Guy had control of the position. Guy wants to stand and escape but Hanson is having none of it. Guy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hanson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hanson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Guy wants to sweep but no luck. Hanson throwing strikes but missing. Hanson trying to control the position from guard on top but Guy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guy wants to improve his position but instead Hanson has moved into half guard.
Hanson content to control rather than advance.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hanson is looking to chop away at Guy's legs. Hanson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Guy tries for a takedown but Hanson manages to get underhooks.
Sam Hanson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry Guy. Guy looks gassed! Hanson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Guy has taken the fight to the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hanson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Hanson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Hanson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Guy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Guy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hanson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Guy closes the distance and clinches up with Hanson, looking for a takedown. Guy pushes Hanson against the cage but Hanson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Guy tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hanson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hanson holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Hanson throws an elbow but it misses.
Guy manages to pull guard.
Hanson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Guy clinches but Hanson breaks the clinch and Hanson moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hanson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Guy tries to clinch and Hanson counters with a leg kick. Hanson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Guy is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fight moves into the clinch position. Guy stalling.
Guy goes for a takedown attempt but Hanson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Guy moves into the clinch. Guy decides to pull guard. Guy throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Guy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guy is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hanson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hanson! Hanson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hanson advances position into side control! Guy manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Guy controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Hanson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Guy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hanson jumps guard but Guy stands there with Hanson around his waist. Hanson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hanson looking to slow down the pace here. Guy tightens his grip and picks Hanson up, before dumping him to the ground. Hanson manages to land in guard. Guy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hanson is keeping the position for now. Guy looking to sit in guard and control but Hanson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Guy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hanson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hanson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hanson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hanson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Guy, up you get! Guy rushes Hanson and presses him up against the cage. Guy manages to break the clinch.
Guy stuffs the takedown. Hanson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hanson showed some decent athleticism there. Hanson stands up out of the half guard. Horrible takedown by Hanson or perhaps it was just good defense by Guy which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Hanson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hanson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hanson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Guy to stand up. Hanson wants to clinch but Guy slips to the side and Guy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Guy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Guy wants to clinch. Hanson slips a jab and a cross from Guy.
Guy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hanson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hanson. Hanson avoiding damage.
Hanson gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hanson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Guy backwards. Hanson is stalling here.
Hanson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Guy.
Hanson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hanson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Guy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hanson tries to clinch but Guy moves away and Guy counters by moving into the clinch. Hanson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Hanson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Guy smiles and moves away.
Guy doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hanson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Guy has Hanson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hanson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Guy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hanson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Guy shoots in and drives through. Hanson sprawls well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guy tries to clinch and Hanson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hanson gets underhooks to prevent Guy's takedown attempt.
Hanson is trying to maintain a safe position but Guy gets an underhook and turns Hanson into the cage. Guy is working for takedown but Hanson is calmly controlling the position for now. Guy is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hanson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Guy blocks an elbow strike from Hanson.

Sam Hanson dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Guy manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Guy trying to keep a closed guard but Hanson is proving a slippery customer.

Hanson gets to his feet. Guy looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Hanson throws a lazy body kick and Guy counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hanson pulls guard. Guy passes Hanson's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sam Hanson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Guy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hanson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Guy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Larry Guy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hanson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Hanson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Guy to stand up.
And that's the end of the fight! Larry Guy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hanson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
