Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sean Crane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randall Hope!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hope gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Crane to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Crane thows a big elbow that misses.
Hope wants to stand and escape but Crane is having none of it.
Hope preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Crane throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Crane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hope pushes Crane off and scrambles back to his feet.

Hope gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Crane with a flurry of punches that miss.
Crane won't allow Hope to get back to his feet.
Crane wants to pass the guard but Hope is keeping the position.

Hope has his feet on Crane's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Crane drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hope manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Crane has Hope in his guard.
Crane is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Crane winds up and cracks Hope with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Crane tries to pass to full mount but Hope defends it.
Crane lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Crane not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Hope blocking the ground and pound attempt from Crane.

Hope has one foot on Crane's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

A cross from Hope lands.
Hope comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hope darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Hope lands a head shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hope scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Crane doesn't seem bothered though.
Hope stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hope connects with a nice looking jab.
Crane takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Hope lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Randall Hope is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hope scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Hope has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Crane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Hope is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Sean Crane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hope is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Crane had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Hope stuns Crane with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hope throws a combination. Crane tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Crane looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Crane looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randall Hope dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Hope stuffs the takedown.
Hope changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
An inside leg kick lands from Hope.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hope uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Hope throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Crane on the side of the head.

Crane shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Hope looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Crane!

Crane is looking to improve his position but Hope isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Hope get's back to his feet.
Crane shoots for a double leg takedown but Hope sprawls well. He's pushed Crane's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd cheers as Hope lands an impressive looking overhand right. Crane doesn't seem phased though.

Crane is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hope has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hope!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hope gets to his feet. Crane looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Hope does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Hope throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Crane stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Crane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Crane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hope lands a slapping body shot.
Crane looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Hope lands a nice shot that snaps Crane's head back.

Hope tries to clinch up but Crane circles away and keeps his distance.

The fighters circle momentarily. Hope darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Hope is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crane is controlling him.

Crane trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Hope manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Hope stands and steps away. Crane gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hope has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Crane throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hope was covering up waiting for the punch and Crane finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hope seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Hope has momentary wrist control but Crane slips an elbow through the middle.

Hope pushes Crane off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Hope scores with a hook.

Crane drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crane tries to free his leg and advance position but Hope is retaining full guard.
Crane throws a strike but Hope rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Crane tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hope trying to control the position from guard on top but Crane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hope wants to get up but he can't break Crane's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Sean Crane overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Crane is looking for a triangle but Hope pushes his legs off easily.
Crane is looking to sweep but instead, Hope has passed into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Crane manages to get to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Randall Hope comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Hope winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
