The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera leaves Mr Black Star with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Mr Black Star darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Vera is staying active underneath Mr Black Star, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Mr Black Star throws a strike but Vera avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Vera loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Mr Black Star scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Vera land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Vera stands and salutes the crowd.
