Lassiter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Chumbawamba - Tubthumping. Paul Lassiter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adin Wrenton!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrenton tries to clinch up.
Wrenton tries to clinch but Lassiter moves out of range.

Lassiter keeps the fight on the outside.
Lassiter walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.


It looks like Paul Lassiter has been cut.
Lassiter lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wrenton backs up against the cage.


It looks like Adin Wrenton has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A head kick lands from Lassiter that sends Wrenton to the canvas. Wrenton tries to scramble back to his feet but Lassiter brings him back down into side control.
Lassiter is trying to ground and pound but Wrenton uses the momentary lack of control by Lassiter to regain half guard.
Lassiter moves into full mount! Wrenton won't be happy about that!
Lassiter wants to control the pace but Wrenton is squirming around nicely.
Lassiter fails to take his opponent's back.
Wrenton can't escape the position.
Lassiter sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Wrenton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lassiter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lassiter is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Wrenton throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Lassiter takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lassiter is breathing heavily.
Lassiter bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wrenton's head.
Lassiter misses with a wild combination.

Wrenton drives through and clinches with Lassiter against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Wrenton fails to land.
Wrenton gets through Lassiter's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.


Paul Lassiter's cut is getting worse.
Wrenton throws a head punch that misses.

Lassiter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wrenton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Wrenton avoids a punch combination nicely.

Lassiter drops Wrenton with a left right combo! Lassiter follows him down to the ground into side control.


Wrenton is rocked!


That has opened up Adin Wrenton's cut even more.

Lassiter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wrenton is still in real trouble! Can Lassiter finish him?
Wrenton tries to improve position but can't.

Lassiter decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Wrenton seems to have recovered his senses.

Wrenton pushes Lassiter up against the cage in a clinch.

Lassiter breaks from the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wrenton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wrenton doesn't manage to clinch there - Lassiter circles away.

Wrenton clinches with his opponent.
Lassiter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wrenton has him pressed against the cage.
Wrenton lands a body shot.
Wrenton lands a nice uppercut.
Wrenton lands a right hand.

Lassiter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lassiter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wrenton was well out of range. Poor timing from Lassiter.

Wrenton closes the distance and clinches.
A nice left hand lands by Wrenton.


Paul Lassiter's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wrenton softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Lassiter wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Wrenton scores with a nice hook to the head.
Wrenton is struggling to control the position.
Wrenton lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Lassiter has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Wrenton misses with an elbow strike.
Wrenton lands with a short shot to the head.
Lassiter wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wrenton throws a head punch that misses.
Lassiter working hard to break the clinch.
Wrenton throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Lassiters head.
Lassiter is looking to break free of the clinch but Wrenton has double underhooks.
Wrenton lands a right hand that snaps the head of Lassiter backwards.


Jeez, Paul Lassiter's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
A shot in the inside from Wrenton.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Wrenton takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Wrenton lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lassiter backwards.
A left hand lands to the body for Wrenton.
Wrenton lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Lassiter or not.
Wrenton lands an uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Wrenton.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Paul Lassiter's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
