Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukas Daiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daiva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Rasmus - The Fight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Hawk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lukas Daiva! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawk takes the fight into the clinch. Daiva looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Daiva prevents the takedown attempt.
Hawk tries to break the clinch but Daiva is controlling the position. Daiva gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hawk.
Hawk manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Daiva with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hawk on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hawk wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hawk wants to break free but Daiva has control.

Still in the clinch, Daiva scores with a nice short uppercut. Hawk prevents Daiva from breaking the clinch. Hawk has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Daiva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Hawk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hawk managing to block the knees to the body from Daiva.
Hawk breaks from the clinch.
Hawk shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hawk showed some decent athleticism there. Hawk trying to control the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hawk has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Hawk looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Hawk wants to stand but Daiva has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Hawk is taking a breather. Daiva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Hawk content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hawk wants to stand but Daiva has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Hawk looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Daiva is looking to improve his position.
Hawk seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hawk takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Hawk dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Daiva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hawk as he jumps to the side. Hawk clinches up against the cage. Hawk manages to break the clinch.
Daiva tries to clinch up and Hawk counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Hawk throws a leg kick but Daiva checks it. Daiva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hawk as he jumps to the side. Daiva takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Hawk closes the distance and clinches. Daiva is breathing heavily. Hawk tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Daiva just stands there and leans against the cage. Hawk wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hawk avoiding damage as Daiva throws knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daiva prevents Hawk from breaking the clinch. Hawk lands a body shot. Hawk is trying to break free. Hawk wants to get back to striking at distance but Daiva won't allow it.

Daiva with a poor takedown and Hawk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Matt Hawk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lukas Daiva. Nice cross by Hawk. Lukas Daiva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight moves into the clinch position. Hawk tries to break the clinch but Daiva is controlling the position. Daiva prevents the takedown attempt.
Hawk has had enough of the clinch but Daiva keeps him there for the moment. Hawk can't get the takedown.

Daiva keeps control of Hawk as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hawk wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Daiva tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Hawk stuffs the takedown attempt from Daiva. Daiva gets slowly back to his feet. Hawk thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Daiva if he has to take too many more of those.
Daiva closes the distance but Hawk moves to the side and Hawk counters with a series of strikes. Daiva will be more careful next time no doubt. Daiva motions for Hawk to come forward. Daiva throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Nice takedown defense from Daiva. No joy for Hawk on that attempt. Hawk circles away from the clinch attempt and Hawk counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hawk.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daiva has a closed guard, preventing Hawk from standing up. Hawk stands up and waves to Daiva to follow him. Daiva wants to clinch and Hawk holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hawk avoiding damage as Daiva throws knees to the body.
Daiva is trying to break free. Hawk has had enough of the clinch but Daiva keeps him there for the moment. Daiva missing with knees to the body.

Hawk cracks Daiva with an open hand slap. Daiva looks to clinch and Hawk counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hawk. Daiva misses with a knee to the head. Hawk wants to break free. Hawk manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Left hook, right uppercut from Hawk. Daiva takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Daiva is rocked! Hawk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hawk controls the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hawk decides to stand up, so the ref orders Daiva to his feet. Hawk tries to clinch there but Daiva circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daiva wants to clinch but Hawk slips to the side and Hawk counters by moving into the clinch. Daiva misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hawk.
Daiva prevents Hawk from breaking the clinch. Daiva tries a knee to the head but Hawk blocks it.
Daiva lands on the inside with an uppercut. Daiva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hawk breaks from the clinch.
Hawk scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Hawk has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Hawk shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daiva pinned against the cage. Daiva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Daiva has taken the fight to the clinch.

Daiva tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Daiva wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hawk has him pressed against the cage. Hawk wants to get back to striking at distance but Daiva won't allow it.

Daiva misses with a knee to the head. Daiva keeps control of Hawk as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Daiva is pressed up against the cage. Hawk has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Daiva down to the mat. Daiva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hawk fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Daiva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Daiva lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Hawk pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hawk lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Hawk moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knees to the body from Daiva.
Daiva misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hawk.
Hawk wants to break free but Daiva has control.
Hawk wants to get back to striking at distance but Daiva won't allow it.
Hawk has had enough of the clinch but Daiva keeps him there for the moment. Daiva landing knees to the body.

Daiva tries to land knees in the clinch but Hawk avoids the damage to the body. Lukas Daiva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hawk wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Daiva tries to work over Hawk's body with a swooping hook but it's wide of the mark. Not good footwork there.
And that's the end of the fight! Matt Hawk showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hawk, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
