Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, M J Shain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaron Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shain lands with a straight right. Anderson didn't see that one coming.
M J Shain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shain lands a two punch combo.
Shain showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Anderson.
Shain lands a glancing blow to the side of Anderson's head.

Shain closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Anderson on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Anderson sneaks out the side door and pushes Shain away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Anderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Shain did well to prevent Anderson getting side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Anderson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Anderson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Shain has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shain is looking for a sweep. Anderson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Anderson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Shain defends it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Shain kicks Anderson off and gets back to his feet.
Shain lunges at Anderson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Anderson's hand.
Shain lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Anderson backs up against the cage.


It looks like Aaron Anderson has been cut.
Anderson tries for a takedown but Shain circles away easily
and Anderson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


Anderson is rocked!
Anderson looks gassed!
Shain throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Anderson stumbling backwards into the cage! Anderson bounces back off the cage towards Shain, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Shain lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Shain celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). M J Shain!
