Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Conan Beltran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Oaken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oaken is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Guerilla Radio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny Oaken! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beltran throws a nice looking combination but Oaken bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Beltran misses with a wild combination.
Oaken moves out of range of the strikes. Beltran throws a nice looking combination but Oaken bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Oaken shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Beltran is trying to defend but Oaken finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Beltran keeps control of the position for the meantime. Beltran tries to kick Oaken off but Oaken keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Beltran wants to improve his position but Oaken is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oaken wants to work for an arm triangle but Beltran is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Beltran knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Oaken on the ground. Oaken is working for a submission of some sort.
Beltran is in trouble now - Oaken has advanced to mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beltran slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Oaken seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oaken is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Beltran wants to get back to his feet. Beltran wants to control but Oaken is keeping busy.
Oaken is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beltran is just riding it out for now. Oaken eventually gives up the hold. Oaken is trying to work for a kimura but Beltran is defending well.

Beltran moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Oaken has gone for a leg lock! Beltran slips out almost immediately though and dives into Oaken's guard. Beltran is stalling in the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Danny Oaken will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Beltran shoots in for a double leg but Oaken sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Beltran is looking to clinch but Oaken is avoiding it.
Conan Beltran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beltran throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Beltran tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Oaken paws at him with a jab and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oaken uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Beltran. Oaken staying out of range there. Beltran misses with a looping left.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oaken walks into a jab. Beltran shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Oaken's guard. Oaken looking to control.
Beltran decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Beltran lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Oaken circles away quickly and effectively.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beltran looks to land a combination but Oaken avoids it well. Beltran throws a series of punches but Oaken avoids them all with ease. Beltran is looking to clinch. Oaken uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beltran.
Beltran tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Oaken paws at him with a jab and circles away. Oaken defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Beltran. Beltran misses with the combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Beltran throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Oaken is defended easily by Beltran. Beltran wants to clinch up but Oaken keeps it at a distance. Oaken looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Beltran will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Beltran looks to land a combination but Oaken avoids it well. The fight stays on the outside here - Beltran looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Oaken shoots in for a takedown but Beltran shows good takedown defense. Conan Beltran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Oaken. Beltran throws a right hand that Oaken ducks under and follows up with a left that Oaken also avoids with ease. A jab from Beltran does it's job there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beltran throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Oaken's waist but Oaken gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Beltran off to one side. Beltran tries to clinch up but Oaken circles away and keeps his distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Conan Beltran dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Beltran throws out a loose jab but Oaken uses good head movement to avoid it. Oaken throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beltran. Beltran tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Oaken paws at him with a jab and circles away. Beltran throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Oaken counters with a nice body shot. Beltran lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Beltran. A right-left combo lands from Beltran. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab from Beltran finds it's way through Oaken's defenses. Beltran shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oaken pinned against the cage. Oaken gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Beltran lands a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oaken shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Oaken is working for a kimura but Beltran is defending it quite comfortably.

Oaken takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Beltran tries to get to full guard but Oaken has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oaken stops Beltran from getting back to his feet.
Oaken is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Beltran! Oaken jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Beltran is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Beltran and Oaken has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Beltran sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Oaken is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Beltran sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beltran is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oaken wants to pass to mount but Beltran is defending the position. Oaken is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Oaken looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Beltran is trying to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Beltran kicks off Oaken and gets to his feet. Beltran looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Beltran falls off balance throwing a combination
and Oaken counters with a one-two to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Beltran tries to clinch and Oaken counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Oaken. Beltran wants to sweep but no luck.
And that's the end of the fight! Conan Beltran showed his dominance in that final round. I think Beltran has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
