Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trey Hope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricky Young has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trey Hope!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Young!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hope wants to clinch.
Young moves out of range of the body kick from Hope.
Hope throws a head kick that misses.
Young ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hope tries to clinch but Young moves out of range.
A combination from Young does no damage.
Young circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hope tries to close the distance and clinch but Young swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hope tries a head kick but it misses.

Young drives through and clinches with Hope against the cage.

Young escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hope tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Young looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hope misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hope drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hope cracks Young with a solid left hand.
Young is wriggling around but Hope manages to pass to half guard.
Hope is nestled in close to Young, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Young looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hope lands strikes from half guard.
Young pushes Hope off looking to stand but Hope dives back in and keeps control.
Hope working over Young with some ground and pound. Young looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Young really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hope. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Young is trying to stand up here but Hope is controlling him well.
Hope with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Young is defending against the submission attempts here by Hope.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Young wants to get back to his feet.
Hope keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Young is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Young is trying to stand.
Young looks gassed!
Ground and pound from Hope.
Hope tries to pass the half guard into mount. Young knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hope prevents Young from standing back up.
Hope looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Hope stops Young from getting back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Young is looking to clinch but Hope is avoiding it.

Hope shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Young is trying to defend but Hope finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Hope uses his free foot to push down on Young's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Young.
A nice elbow there by Hope.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hope controlling the pace for now.
Young is trying to stand up.
Hope connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Hope landing shots from mount.
Hope tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hope has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Young wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Hope dominating with strikes here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Young has left one of his arms exposed and Hope doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Young screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
