Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samson Rudensky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boom Bo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samson Rudensky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Boom Bo!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bo gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Bo successfully pulls guard.
Rudensky trying to control the position from guard on top but Bo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rudensky lands a couple of elbows.
Rudensky not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rudensky working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bo wants to stand and escape but Rudensky is having none of it.
Rudensky sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Rudensky seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bo manages to get to full guard.

Bo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rudensky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rudensky pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bo is keeping the position for now.
Bo is adopting a defensive guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bo keeping moving, preventing Rudensky from controlling successfully.
Rudensky missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rudensky wants to control from the top but Bo keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Rudensky misses with a straight left.
Nice takedown defense from Rudensky. No joy for Bo on that attempt.
Rudensky digs a good hook to Bo's body.
Bo looks gassed!
Bo blocks a jab.

Rudensky closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rudensky lands in his opponent's guard.
Rudensky tries to free his leg and advance position but Bo is retaining full guard.
Bo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rudensky manages to get himself to full guard.

Rudensky wants to control but Bo passes easily into half guard.
Bo wants to stand but Rudensky has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Rudensky pushes Bo off and gets back to his feet.

Rudensky shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Rudensky decides to stand back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bo is looking for a sweep. Rudensky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rudensky moves nicely into side control.
Rudensky knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bo on the ground.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rudensky, as that shot connected.

Rudensky shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Rudensky loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rudensky wants to stand but Bo is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bo is trying to control the position but Rudensky postures up.
Bo throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Rudensky thows a big elbow that misses.

Bo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rudensky defends it easily.
Bo looking to control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rudensky thuds his right hand into Bo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Rudensky scores with a jab. Bo acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Rudensky content just to control the position here.
Rudensky cracks Bo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bo tries to hold on but Rudensky pushes him away.

Rudensky is landing with some decent strikes but Bo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Rudensky avoids the attempt from Bo to control.
Bo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Bo is trying to stand.
Rudensky lands a big shot there that rocks Bo but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Bo tries to lock up and control but Rudensky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Rudensky is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Bo trying desperately to get to his feet.
Bo sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Bo is looking to control Rudensky's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bo avoid being mounted?

Bo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bo slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Bo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rudensky wants to control from the top but Bo keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Bo scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Rudensky throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bo swings for the body but Rudensky moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rudensky dips to his left and cracks Bo with an uppercut!
Rudensky lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bo at a distance.
Rudensky works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bo closes the distance but Rudensky moves to the side

and Rudensky counters with a shoot takedown. Bo fights it but they end up in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Samson Rudensky dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Rudensky lands with a hook. Bo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Rudensky shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Rudensky would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bo is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Rudensky trying to control but Bo is working from the bottom.
Rudensky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bo has his feet on Rudensky's thighs here. He's pushed Rudensky off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rudensky screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Boom Bo!
