Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gareth Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and freight train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Stemm - Face The Pain. train comes into a darkened arena with his song building. yes kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Gareth Smith has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
train looks to throw the jab but Smith is out of range.

Smith is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, train asserts his dominance and retains side control.

train is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Smith.
train feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

train frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
BOOM! train connects with a massive shot to the dome!

train goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Smith is on top in guard.
train is breathing heavily.
train is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
train wants to sweep but no luck.

train had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Smith defends it easily.
train working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

train is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Smith up.
train throws a series of strikes and Smith wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
train is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Smith can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, train cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
train unloads with some shots from mount but Smith bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
train has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from train there as he acknowledges the shot.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

train is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
freight train is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Smith looks to land a body kick but train moved away.
train closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
train is trying to control. Smith wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

I've got train winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
