Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Armin Van Buren - Sail. Thomas has chosen Devil went down to Georgia as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kelvin Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Thomas! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Parker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Thomas defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Parker. Parker get's back to his feet. Parker steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Thomas. Parker throws the left hand but Thomas avoids the punch easily. Parker loads up on a big right hand but Thomas slips the punch. Parker on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Parker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Thomas. Parker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Parker slips under a jab from Thomas. Thomas defending well as Parker loads up on a big left hand. Parker looks to land a combination but Thomas avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Thomas looks to land a right hand but Parker moved out of range. Thomas slips a jab and a cross from Parker.
Thomas stalks Parker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Parker's face. Parker staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Kelvin Parker has been cut. Thomas swings for the body but Parker moves out of range.
Thomas stuns Parker with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Parker misses with an uppercut. Thomas with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Thomas misses with a straight right. Thomas throws a shot from downtown. Parker moves away and avoids it. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Thomas lands with a cross. Thomas misses with a two punch combination.
Parker shoots for a double leg takedown but Thomas sprawls well. He's pushed Parker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Parker throws a jab but it's blocked by Thomas. Thomas is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Thomas. Parker connects with a nice looking jab.

and Parker counters with a three punch combo that has Thomas backing up. Thomas nods at Parker to acknowledge the strikes. Parker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Thomas dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kelvin Parker's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Parker gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Thomas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kelvin Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parker misses with a double jab
and Thomas counters with a stiff right hand. The fighters circling - Parker throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker misses with a takedown and Thomas counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kelvin Parker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice defenses there by Thomas. Thomas takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A telegraphed right hand from Thomas misses the target. Thomas thows a left - swing and a miss! Kelvin Parker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Thomas uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Parker has time to react.

A punch combination from Thomas misses. Thomas throws a hook to the side of Parker's head but Parker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Thomas avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Thomas throws a looping overhand right but Parker ducks down to avoid it. Parker throws a left and a right that both miss
and Thomas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Parker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. John Thomas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Thomas lands a with a good body shot. Parker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Thomas is fending him off so far but Parker persists. Nope, Thomas circles away and we're back to standing. Thomas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Parker. Parker gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Parker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thomas moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Parker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Thomas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Thomas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Kelvin Parker's cut. That's time! Parker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Thomas scores with a nice right hand.
A combination from Thomas does no damage. Parker is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thomas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Thomas throws a series of punches but Parker moves out of range. Thomas slips under a jab from Parker. Thomas throws a series of strikes that have Parker backpedaling.
And that's the end of the fight! John Thomas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Thomas winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
