Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roger Panzer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kalahu Kahala! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kahala throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Panzer showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kahala.
Kahala throws a hook but Panzer avoids it easily. Kahala punishes Panzer's body with a nice straight punch. Kahala thows a left - swing and a miss! Panzer is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kahala's half guard. Kahala is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Panzer pulls his head out easily. Kahala actively working from the bottom here. Kahala moves into full guard.
Panzer wants to control from the top but Kahala keeps moving. Panzer throwing strikes but missing. Kahala working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Panzer. Panzer avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kahala escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Panzer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Panzer wants to get up but he can't break Kahala's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Panzer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Panzer postures up in Kahala's guard and throws a big left but Kahala blocks it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kahala pushes a forearm under Panzer's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Panzer is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
