Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, jermain walcott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Kain!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kain throws a head kick that misses.
walcott throws a series of punches but Kain avoids them all with ease.
walcott takes a head kick and keeps coming.

walcott decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kain pushes walcott off looking to stand but walcott dives back in and keeps control.
walcott trying to control from half guard but Kain is working away.
Kain keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

walcott decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Kain throws a nice looking combination but walcott bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
walcott doesn't manage to clinch there - Kain circles away.
walcott closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kain circles away.
Kain cracks the inside of walcott's front leg.
Jason Kain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kain falls off balance throwing a combination

and walcott counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
walcott tries to free his leg and advance position but Kain is retaining full guard.

Kain pulls walcott in close to prevent any damage.

walcott has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

walcott thows a big elbow that misses.
walcott wants to control from the top but Kain keeps moving.
walcott slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kain wants to stand and escape but walcott is having none of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
walcott is looking to work some ground and pound but Kain has wrist control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
The fighters circle momentarily. walcott darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and walcott counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kain won't be happy with that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kain has his feet on walcott's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Kain throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kain clinches but walcott breaks the clinch

and walcott counters with a takedown into side control.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kain gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Well, if walcott is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Kain kicks walcott off and gets back to his feet.
Kain scores with a three punch combo!
walcott changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kain tries to avoid it but walcott manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kain to the ground. Kain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kain.
Kain scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Kain lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

A head kick misses from Kain.
Kain scores with a sloppy right hand. walcott should have avoided that one.


walcott is rocked!

Kain is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in walcott's half guard.
Oh walcott is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kain decides to stand up.
walcott seems to have got his legs back now.
Kain thumps walcott with a low kick.
Kain throws a shot to the body.
Kain shoots in looking for a takedown. walcott tries to sprawl out of it but Kain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. walcott manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kain lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as walcott backs up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kain lands a nice leg kick that just misses walcott's sensitive parts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Kain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! walcott's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from walcott.
Kain looks for the body kick but walcott saw that one coming.
Kain throws a sloppy head kick and walcott moves out of range easily.

Kain wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Kain is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
walcott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kain keeps working.

Kain tries to bench press walcott off him but walcott keeps the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kain can't do much from the bottom here.

Kain parries the strikes from walcott easily there. walcott is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kain to escape.

walcott stuffs the takedown attempt from Kain. Kain gets slowly back to his feet.
Kain leaves walcott with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A nice inside leg kick there by Kain. That's going to slow walcott down.
A good leg kick by Kain.
Kain tries to clinch but walcott moves out of range.
Kain throws a leg kick which misses walcott's front leg but catches the back leg as walcott tries to avoid it.
Kain scores with a kick to the body.
A slapping body kick lands there for Kain.

Kain rushes walcott and presses him up against the cage.

Kain escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kain tries to land a front kick but walcott steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kain lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kain tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but walcott paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Crunch! Kain slams his shin into walcott's torso.
walcott is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kain fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with walcott, pushing him back against the cage.
walcott tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kain smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for jermain walcott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice cross by Kain.
Kain shoots in but walcott avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kain plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Some bone on bone action there as walcott checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kain doesn't manage to clinch there - walcott circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kain displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from walcott.
Kain lands a head kick. walcott smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jason Kain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
