Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ron Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kap Hwan Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ron Paul has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ron Paul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kap Hwan Lee! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paul misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Paul tries for a takedown but Lee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Paul stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet. Ron Paul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paul rushes Lee and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lee is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Paul gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Paul tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lee's elbow. Paul gets underhooks to prevent Lee's takedown attempt.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Paul. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lee is defended easily by Paul. Paul takes the fight into the clinch. Paul drags the fight down to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paul is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lee looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Paul looking to control but Lee passes into half guard.

Lee seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lee lands a nice short elbow. Paul wants to improve his position but Lee is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lee connects with a nice short shot to Paul's temple.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Paul is trying to escape back to his feet but Lee uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Paul looking for a sweep but Lee has passed into full mount! Oh no! Lee landing strikes from the mount and Paul is in trouble! Lee pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Lee is in the full mount, landing strikes. Lee connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Ron Paul dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kap Hwan Lee's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Paul displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lee. Paul throws a series of punches but Lee moves out of range. Paul tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lee blocks a head kick by Paul.
Lee misses the jab. Paul slaps away a takedown attempt from Lee, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Paul tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Lee has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Paul working to try and regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee has control of Paul's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Paul regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Paul wants to hold on but Lee pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Paul can't escape the position.
Lee with a couple of short strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lee cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Paul's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Paul takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Paul really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Kap Hwan Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Kap Hwan Lee's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ron Paul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kap Hwan Lee. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paul changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lee fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee postures up and lands a big shot to Paul's brow. Lee working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Paul is trying to keep Lee in close.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Paul manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Lee is looking to work some ground and pound but Paul has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lee with a flurry of punches that miss. Paul wants to sweep here but Lee controlling him for the moment. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Paul doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lee misses with a takedown attempt - Paul sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Paul is looking to clinch. Ron Paul is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Kap Hwan Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Lee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
